When Harry opened her eyes again, she was laying in a bed and staring up at all the faces surrounding her. They all looked too stunned to speak.
"Har-Harry?" called Kahil in disbelief.
The others moved closer to her face.
"Now, now," said a man Harry had never seen before. "Give the princess some space!"
Harry didn't understand what was happening. She tried to sit up, but her body was stiff. When she tried to ask what was going on, her mouth was increasingly dry.
"Get her a glass of water," spoke the same man.
Terrance quickly left and brought her a glass of water. She tried to take it from him, but he wouldn't let go and forced her to let him help her.
Harry started in fast gulps, which coaxed the man to say, "Slowly."
After drinking two full glasses, Harry stared at all the people surrounding her. She stared greatly at the man who seemed to be in control of everything. Although, upon further inspection, the man seemed less like a man and more of a boy.
Harry listened as everyone began to chatter. She wondered what exactly was going on. It was all slowly starting to come back to her. Harry gasped loudly upon remembering her encounter with Varian and the secrets he had kept hidden.
"Oh, yeah, Varian!" she shouted. She quickly yanked the covers off and tried to get out of bed. Before her foot or even a toe could touch the ground, she was seized by Kahil, Cambrel, and Terrance.
"Calm down, Princess," said Cambrel quickly.
"Yeah, Harry, take it easy," said Kahil.
As they began to force her back down onto the bed, Harry noticed the IV in her arm. If she had successfully gotten up, the IV would've been pulled out violently.
They got her settled back down, and just when she was about to start asking questions, Terrance suddenly called her grimly, "Harry, you've been asleep for twelve days."
Twelve days? Harry wondered if everyone had accidentally miscounted the days. They seemed to have been plenty busy to do so. However, upon listening to further explanations, she quickly found out that that wasn't the case at all.
Varian again, everything bad that happened was always because of him. Harry thought about finding another excuse to justify his actions, but she didn't. She'd had enough of his little games. He proved time and time again that he did not care about her; he never did. Everything they had been through together was merely a lie to help him achieve his goal. She was the collateral damage, or maybe it had been her mother. Harry didn't know, but what she did know was that they had to stop Varian's army before they reached her kingdom, her home.
After taking a couple of minutes to calm down, Harry began to explain the events that had taken place in the woods. She told them Varian's secrets and how he was probably on his way to Cardiaire as they speak.
Everyone was shocked to learn about Varian's background; it was sad, but none of them had any sympathy to give him, especially not after everything he'd done to Harry.
Some knights muttered to themselves about packing up and leaving so that they could beat him and his army there. Others wanted to stay and wait for their plan to be finalized.
Everyone was confused about what to do, but for the first time, Harry felt certain about what needed to be done. With an assertive and stern voice, she said, "We need to go after him now."
Everyone stopped their bickering and turned to Harry.
"Even if we go now," said Kahil. "You're in no condition to be walking around, let alone riding on a horse."
