Naomi Carter
Okay… What do I do know? I wondered as we stared at the boys who were still unaware of us. Scarlet was looking at Ricky, the handsome guy beside West who had a toothy grin on his face because he was beating him. And West on the other hand was scowling darkly at the TV and he tried cheating by nudging Ricky.
Though I have absolutely no idea what to say to West, I mentally sighed and then cleared my throat out loud.
Ricky looked at us and his eyes went wide. West didn’t look and used Ricky’s current distraction as a chance to win. He woohoo-ed with matching actions of standing up and raising both hands triumphantly in the air like a child. I thought he looked very cute, then he noticed us and quickly brought down his hands. The expression on his face was priceless.
Scarlet was all tense and stiff. She couldn’t move, let alone speak. And I watched as a wide smile slowly appeared on Ricky’s face. Wow, he really is cute, and the air around him is very amiable too. He’s the kind of person who can gain others’ trust easily. Whenever I watched West and the others, I have always found him nice.
The caramel color of his hair was cutely complimenting his chocolate brown eyes, and he stood up. Scarlet froze, and I think she stopped breathing, the poor girl. Ricky walked towards us and opened his arms before giving Scarlet a warm hug. “Scarlet!” he said while he hugged her, and Scarlet was acting all funny. She didn’t know if she should hug him back or if she needed to say something. But the hug was brief to her disappointment. But still, his hands remained on her shoulders. “I missed you. How’ve you been?” he said. This guy is so cute, and that line must’ve sent Scarlet to heaven.
“I-I’m fine, I uh… missed you too,” she said, her face flushed.
I giggled. Ricky’s eyes noticed me, then he looked at me in surprise before glancing at West and announcing, “Hey, look West. It’s that girl who likes you.”
I blushed bright red and looked at West helplessly. He was avoiding my eyes. And I looked down in sorrow…
West Gray
Umm… I feel like an idiot. Why can’t I just talk to her like normal, I mean, look at Ricky, he somewhat knows that Scarlet likes him but he doesn’t act all nervous around her. What is wrong with me? Ever since Naomi drowned and was given mouth to mouth by Sky, I’ve been feeling…weird.
No, it wasn’t just then. It started when Sky announced that he’ll try to get Naomi… I mean, why should I care? It’s not like I have feelings for her… do I?
I mentally shook my head and tried my best to act normal around her. And the pained expression that appeared on her lovely face was my fault. I forced myself to meet her gaze, but then I saw Scarlet, Sky’s evil little sister, looking at me with such curiosity that I frowned at her and looked away. My reaction seemed to have amused her. Luckily, Ricky started asking her questions about what she did while she was with her grandmother. He’s her only weakness as far as I know. Whenever she’s up to something nasty, she’ll do everything in her power to prevent Ricky from finding out. And if ever he did, she comes up with excuses that makes him believe she’s telling the truth, also, she gets all flustered and can’t act right whenever he’s around. Just like right now, she’s all stiff and nervous around him.
Naomi on the other hand looks out of place right now, and I sure know that it’s my fault. Before I could say something to her, my little brother took her hand and challenged her to play Mario Kart with him. He really likes that dude with the red cap and mustache…
