AGRIM SHARMA'S POV:
Wednesday, May 6thDuring the one hour break we guys receive every day, I decided to swing around Midtown just to clear my head.
These past few weeks had been a rollercoaster, and I had certainly been burnt out.
I needed this...
*BOOM*
Oh, god– not again...
I quickly swung over to the site of explosion, and as I arrived at the scene, the sight before me was nothing short of chaos.
The Human Torch and The Thing were fighting a guy in an insect-themed armour.
The streets echoed with the reverberations of their blows, each impact sending shockwaves through the air. The Thing, a towering behemoth of rock and muscle, tried hitting the insect-guy with his rocky fists, but missing them all, as he dodged every blow with precision. It was only then that I noticed that this guy had a girl in his left arm, screaming for help.
Oh, crap...
"Let her go, Beetle!" Johnny called out. "You're not getting away with this!"
"The Beetle" as Johnny referred to the insect-guy, sneered beneath his helmet, his mechanical voice dripping with malice.
"What's the matter, Storm?" he taunted. "If I were you, I'd stop that dumb monster on your team, otherwise your little girl dies."
Johnny grit his teeth, and launched a searing blast at the Beetle's armoured form.
What is he doing?! How is this Johnny Storm so childish!
"Big mistake!" The Beetle powered up his jetpack, but before he could take off, my instincts kicked into overdrive.
With a swift leap, I closed the distance between us, my focus solely on freeing the girl from his clutches. With a determined grasp, I yanked her away from the Beetle's grip with my webs.
"H-huh?!" The Beetle, now confused, looked in my direction.
"You alright?" I asked the girl, making sure she was fine.
