Her pov

Time was crawling by, each second stretching into an eternity, making even a tortoise's pace seem like a lightning bolt. No offense to the cute creature, but for the love of everything sacred, I was bored out of my mind. The monotony was suffocating, every minute dragging on like a heavy weight pressing down on my chest. I was desperate, craving an escape, yearning for the comfort of home.

Not just any home, though. I wanted to be in the one place that offered me solace, where love and warmth weren't just fleeting feelings but constants. God, if you're listening, please—I'm begging you—tear open the fabric of reality and pull me out of this hell. But let's get one thing straight: it's not the mansion that I miss. My home isn't defined by bricks and mortar. My home is the man waiting inside those walls.

'So, you've been daydreaming about your husband this whole time, huh?' My conscience, ever the snarky commentator, decided to chime in.

‘What else did you think, genius?’ I retorted internally.

The loud, jarring sound of the bell ringing was like a divine intervention, answering my silent pleas for mercy. I sprang into action, gathering my things with a speed that probably broke some sort of record. Finally, freedom was within reach. As I stepped outside the classroom, my mind couldn't help but wander to Jungkook. He hadn't shown up to college for the past few days, and the curiosity was eating away at me. Where could he be? What could he be doing?

Just as I began to get lost in my thoughts, my phone buzzed in my pocket, its vibration pulling me back to the present. The notification was like a beacon, commanding my attention. I quickly pulled the device out of my jeans pocket, eager to see what—or who—had finally brought a spark of interest into my otherwise dull day.

I felt a twinge of sadness at the news, but I understood—he’s a busy man with a business empire to run.

As I approached the car, Yoongi was already waiting for me, his usual calm demeanor intact. I quickly opened the door and slipped inside, the familiar scent of the car wrapping around me like a warm embrace. "How have you been, oppa?" I asked, my voice tinged with genuine curiosity as it had been weeks since we last spoke.

He glanced at me briefly, his eyes softening for a moment before returning to the road. "I've been doing pretty well. And you? How are you holding up?" His tone was casual, but there was an undercurrent of concern that only someone who knew him well could detect.

"I’m good," I responded, though my answer was short, more out of habit than disinterest. My mind wandered briefly before I decided to voice the question that had been lingering in my head. "Jungkook hasn’t been attending college for a few days. Is everything okay?"

Yoongi’s gaze flicked to me again, just for a second, before returning to the road ahead. "Nothing to worry about. He’s in Busan visiting his parents. He’ll be back soon."

I nodded, absorbing the information as I let my gaze drift out the window, watching the cityscape blur by. The mansion was only about thirty minutes away from the college, and we were already halfway there. The city hummed with life, but my thoughts were elsewhere, caught between curiosity and restraint. I wanted to know more about the lives of the other guys, to understand them better, but I didn’t want to overstep. The delicate balance between connection and intrusion kept my questions at bay, leaving the car filled with unspoken thoughts as we continued the journey home.
