July's skin bashed a tomato red before igniting a proud, ferocious fire that rampaged all over her body. It was torture, and it was only because Grey's clothing had brushed her skin. Clothing. His jacket.

What was wrong with her?

At this moment, as they were deep in math practice at the café they'd first talked. The first feeling she felt was nostalgia, then hot, hot, hot, and once they sat down, Grey pulled out his glasses. Glasses. The man was blind and her heart was thumping over his blindness.

But they did make him look gorgeous. But that was beside the point she was trying to make.

Grey gave her a sheepish smile when he saw her obvious stare. "Yeah, I need these to read. Don't tease me about it."

What was the point again? "I'm definitely going to put that down in my roster of things to tease you about, Starboy."

His eyes widened, then narrowed whilst he flashed a smirk at her incredulous stare, "You shouldn't tease the person you need to pass this semester, you know."

She gulped, realizing her luck. She's going to have to stare at this boy all day. It's like a gift from the heavens. "I think I'll take the chance."

"Your funeral, Sunshine," he leaned back in his chair, manspreading, smirking whilst making eye contact. Her heart leapt for joy, and her mind blanked. Blanked.

Oh god, this was what it'd be like all day?  She was doomed. Utterly, irrevocably doomed.

"So, let me see your last test," he held out his hand, and she gave him the test without a fight. One, he seemed he was expecting by his surprised facial expression. He poured over the paper with a straight face, his jaw flexing every once in a while.

By the God which laid up there in silky skies, this boy was perfect. He was funny, respectful, intelligent, and didn't even get started on face card. It never declined.
His hazel eyes which bore into her, his kissable lips— wait, did she just say that he was kissable?

Woah, woah, woah. She looked at him again, her gaze dropping down to those sweet, luscious lips. Then she nodded her head to her prior thoughts.

Yup, she would kiss him for less than a penny. Matter of fact, for free. No hesitation, even if she would embarrass herself because she'd never even had her first kiss as yet.
Sure, she's held hands and hugged a boy other than her father and brother— oh, right. That was Grey. She's never cuddled— oh, yeah, that was Grey. She's never— oh, yeah, that was Grey too. Dang.

At this point, he might as well be her first kiss, too.

"You didn't do as bad as I thought you did," Grey's husky voice reminded her of this morning when she'd awoken on top of him. Her body flushed a bright red again at the thought.

"You thought I was horrible?" She gawked at him.

He scoffed, "Of course. Or else you wouldn't have begged me. I thought you were failing, meanwhile, your adorable self got an eighty."

She blushed. "Exactly. I need to beat that other girl, I hate to see her."

"Why?"

It's not because she flirts with Grey whenever they have Math class. Nope. "Nothing. I just wanna score higher."

He poured over her movements, the touching of her face, the biting of her cuticles, and smiled, "Liar, I know why you hate her."

"Shut up."

"You're jealous, aren't you?"

Yes. "Never. Who could be jealous over you of all people?"

"You."

"Ew."

"For all I know, you could have set up this entire thing to spend more time with me," he quipped, giving her a lopsided smile. Her heart took off, leaving her, and jumped straight into his arms. She would scream at it to come back, but she knew it wouldn't. "You're so bad."

"Oh, be quiet. It's not like that!" July argued, but he kept on.

"My sunny girl is jealous, wow!" he announced.

She leapt up to cover his mouth. "Shush! You want the entire USA to hear you?"

His laughter was muffled underneath her hands.

It was going to be a long day.

Next to distributive laws and Newton's laws are the laws of friendship. Well, they aren't laws, they were more guidelines than anything. One of them probably being, "Don't fall for your friend's crush."

Audrey, however, was weird. She never really had a crush or showed affection to anyone other than Grey. July would assume it was because of their long friendship, but the hands that loop around Grey's neck said differently.

So was she getting the wrong vibe or breaking guidelines?

Despite Audrey's lustful gazes and laughs, Grey's face remained stern, unblinking. He looked annoyed and unamused beyond relief. She would save him but she'd probably get a nasty stare from Audrey.
One July would return, though.

"So, yeah, that was how we met!" Audrey finished whatever she was talking about.

"You left out the part when I took care of you even when your alcoholic mother couldn't because your parents were going through a divorce," Grey deadpanned, glaring at her. "But I see why."

Audrey blinked, shocked at Grey's lack of reciprocation, and honestly? Blatant disrespect. "¿Qué diablos estás haciendo?"

What?

"Nunca le faltes el respeto a mi señora, heredera," Grey spat, swatting her arms away furiously.

It's time to bring out that Spanish dictionary she'd brought in case he decided to humiliate her in another language other than English.

When Grey saw it, he laughed. "You want me to repeat it for you, sunshine?"

"Yes, please." Audrey rolled her eyes at her response.

"Nunca le faltes el respeto a mi señora, heredera."

Never disrespect my... lady, heiress.

Oh.

OH.

"Seriously, Grey? Of all girls, you choose one with a Spanish dictionary," Audrey mumbled.

July's eyes widened. "Excuse me?"

"Oh, pipe down! I'm just joking," she laughed. "Grey, are you coming to mine tomorrow for your tìa?"

"My tìa, heredera?" Grey quirked an eyebrow at her. "The one that's dead, or?"

"Grey," she hissed at him.

Yikes.

She sighed, "Grey, if she wants you to leave with her, you can leave. It's been, what? Five hours? My mom probably wants me home early cause of her late shift today."

She started to pack her stuff up, and Grey followed her movements. "Okay, I'll take you home."

She shot a look at him, and he got the drift because he turned his attention back to Audrey, cooing, "Ve y patea rocas, heredera."

She scoffed and trotted off somewhere.

"What did you say to her?" July asked.

"Kick rocks," Grey smirked.

"You did not."

"Yes, I did."

July grinned. "Good."

Grey grinned back.
