Nightmare

It was a peaceful night in Pop Village. Every Troll was peacefully sleeping dreaming about cupcakes and rainbows.
But we can't say the same about one Troll who had a terrible nightmare...
Poppy couldn't sleep well because of her nightmare. She was twisting and turning in her sleep so much that she fell off her bed.

"NO! DON'T HURT HIM!" Poppy woke up from her nightmare and the fall on the floor. As soon as she realized that she was on the floor she stood up and sat on her bed. The nightmare was so realistic that she started to cry. Poppy knew that she had to check up on one certain Troll.She quickly got up and started walking to  the Troll's bunker. ( We all know who is that "certain Troll" 🤗) His bunker was quite far from the village so she needed to walk a bit to see him. She didn't walk but she ran and was there in no time.

"BRANCH! ARE YOU OK? ARE YOU IN THERE? BRANCH! OPEN THE DOOR!" Poppy was screaming and crying at the same time. She just couldn't imagine something happening to her favourite Troll.

"Poppy... What are you doing? It's 2:00 in the morning. And why are you crying? "
The still sleepy Troll asked his girlfriend with concern in his expression.

"OMG ,BRANCH,YOU'RE OK!" Poppy hugged him so strongly that Branch couldn't breathe. "I THOUGHT HE HURTED YOU!" As soon as Poppy said that, she started to cry on Branch's shoulder.

"P-Pops, I-I can't breathe." When Poppy heard that she hugged him more gently while crying on his shoulder even harder. "I'm okay don't worry! Do you want to talk about it inside?" Poppy let go of the hug and shook her head for yes. "Ok but we have to be quiet because my brothers are sleeping over ok?"

"Mhm!" Poppy couldn't bear the thought of losing Branch so she hugged him again while going down the elevator. "Branch, are you sure you're ok?" The pink Troll asked while still sobbing but less than before.

"I'm sure I'm okay, Poppy." Branch was worried about her. What happened to make her cry hard and being protective of him? As Branch thought about it more he began to realize that she might have had a nightmare. " Poppy, did you have a nightmare?" The light blue Troll asked while whispering because they were already at the bottom of the bunker.

"Y-Yeah... And it was so realistic that I just couldn't wait for tomorrow to come. I would have gotten crazy thinking about you all night!" Poppy said whispering and trying her best not to sob loudly so she wouldn't wake up someone.

Branch just couldn't believe it. The most positive, happiest, sweet and caring of all Trolls having a really bad nightmare. He knew that no one deserves to have nightmares even if they're a bad person.
They went to Branch's room trying their hardest not to make any sounds. The only sound that was heard was JD's snoring.
When they finally got to Branch's bedroom he closed the door and sat on the bed. He patted the bed gesturing to Poppy to come and have a seat next to him. Poppy didn't think about it and immediately went and sat next to Branch, wrapping her hands around his neck. Branch hated to see Poppy crying so he hugged her back tightly but not too tight so she could breathe.

"So will you tell me about your nightmare? "

"So at first it wasn't a nightmare and I was actually dreaming about how you and I were dancing in front of your bunker. We were singing, dancing, laughing you know. Well until... " Branch started to hear light sobs from Poppy.

"Poppy, look at me." He gently put his palm under her chin so that she could face him. "If it's too painful for you to talk about it it's fine. I already have an idea of what may have happened... Can you just please answer to one question. Was it " you know who"? "

"Y-Yeah." Poppy started crying even more at the thought of him hurting her boyfriend. " I can tell you but I'll start crying even more and I could wake up your brothers."Poppy giggled a bit. She was crying less then before because she knew that she was safe in her boyfriend's hug.

"Poppy, you know that if he ever comes back you have me, right?" Branch could hear Poppy crying less then before. He knew that she was calming down so he decided to do something. He let go of Poppy and laid on the bed. Poppy knew what he was doing so she got on top of Branch and laid on top of his chest. She started listening to his heartbeat. "Do you want me to sing you a song?" Branch asked with a smirk on his face.

"Of course!" Poppy had started to get much better because of Branch. If it wasn't for him she would have been still crying.

Branch started to sing a song that they both loved and knew. Before he started he could hear Poppy yawn. He knew that she was tired from all that crying so he quickly started singing so that she can fall asleep more easily.

"You with the sad eyes
Don't be discouraged, oh I realize
It's hard to take courage
In a world full of people
You can lose sight of it all
The darkness inside you
Can make you feel so small

He could hear his girlfriend slightly snoring which he loved to hear. Branch was happy that Poppy wasn't sad anymore, instead she was sleeping peacefully, snuggling on his chest, and just being safe.

"Goodnight, Poppifer! Love you.🩷" He whispered and after that he fell asleep... 🩵

The next morning

Everyone was awake except for Poppy and Branch. It was already 8:00 so it was unusual for Branch to be asleep at that time.

"Hey guys, should we check up on Branch?" Floys asked a bit nervous.

"Yeah,we should probably check up on him. " As Clay got closer to Branch's bedroom he could see that the door was completely closed. "Hmm, that's strange. Branch never closes his bedroom door. "

"Well we are about to find out why he closed it. " Bruce added.

"Wait I'll open it. You never know what's behind the door. " JD said while stepping in front of Clay.

As he opened the door he could see his youngest brother sleeping peacefully with his girlfriend while cuddling.

"Awww!" BroZone said in all in sync. "Well now we know why he didn't get up early!" Floys said relieved that his baby brother was alright.
