Sick

Heyy! I'm writing this oneshot because I'm a bit sick, and I got the idea of writing it because I'm sick. 😀 Hope you understood what I mean! Anyways... ENJOY!

It was a normal sunny day in Pop Village. All of the Trolls were outside enjoying the fall atmosphere. Technically not every Troll was outside... Poppy was in her pod scrapbooking (as always) but there was something off about her. Her nose was stuffy and light coughs could be heard once in a while. The Queen just assumed it was just allergies.

As Poppy scrapbooked, she heard a knock on her door.

"Poppy?" Branch walked inside her pod holding a bouquet behind him. "I just came to see you!"

"Hi,*coughs* Branch!" The Queen waved at her boyfriend and stood up from the ground.

"Poppy, are you alright? You have been coughing like this since yesterday." The concerned Troll sat on his girlfriend's bed and motioned to her to sit beside him.

"Yeah, I guess I'm *coughs* alright... " If Poppy needed to be honest, she was kind of scared of those coughs.

"Anyways, this is for you, and if you need something just tell me. Ok?" Branch kissed Poppy's forehead and got up from the bed. "I have a bit of work to do with my brothers. I'll come back tomorrow. Bye, love!"

"Bye, Branchifer!"

~Later that night~

Branch and his brothers were in the bunker. They were visiting their youngest brother! All of them were having fun! BroZone was playing games, singing songs, baking and many more things. As things settled down, all of the brothers started talking with each other. The two oldest were talking about their last concert, Floyd was on his phone talking with Boom, Clay doing taxes, and Branch... He was just sitting on the couch, his palms on his face, just looking worried. The green-haired Troll noticed his brother's behavior and started feeling worried for him.

"Hey, Bitty B... You alright?" Clay walked up to Branch and sat next to him.

"Yeah, I guess I'm just a bit nervous about Poppy. "

"Why?" The middle child was confused on why Branch was worried about Poppy.

"Well, she started slightly coughing yesterday and Poppy says she's just having allergies! And her nose is stuffy, it's like she's trying to hide something. Because I know her, and she has never coughed while having allergies!" Branch was slightly getting even more worried about his girlfriend.

"Hey, hey! Don't worry! I think Poppy is just having allergies, like she said!" Clay hugged his brother, showing him that everything would be alright. "Don't worry. She'll be fine."

"Thanks, Clay." Branch had a slight smile on his face but it soon faded away, hoping Poppy was alright.

~The next morning~

This morning was quite strange. No morning song, no glitter, no nothing! All of the Trolls were just walking around, talking to one another.

In the bunker, all of BroZone was sleeping,which was strange. A light-blue Troll could be seen twisting in his sleep. It was Branch. When he woke up, Branch looked at the clock and gasped at what he saw.

10:27 AM

He slept in! Branch quickly got up from his bed, and rushed to the bathroom. He brushed his teeth, took a shower and went straight to his room. Branch then got dressed and sprinted to his elevator. He pushed the lever and started going up. When Branch for outside his bunker, he didn't see the pink Troll he was hoping to see.

"Huh? Where's Poppy?" Branch started walking around Pop Village, looking for his loved one. He searched for an hour but didn't find, but Branch still hadn't check her pod. "Of course! How could I be so stupid?!" The real Troll started running towards Poppy's pod.

When he got there, Branch knocked on her door and opened it slightly.

"Poppy? It's me, Branch. Are you alright?" Branch walked in on Poppy still sleeping in her bed. He was confused on why she was still sleeping. Branch quickly went over to Poppy and kissed her forehead. "Come o- Wait a second... " Branch kissed her forehead again, feeling that Poppy was burning up. "Poppy, are you ok?" He gently shook her, so that the Queen wouldn't be scared. In return, Branch got a slight moan from Poppy, meaning she was waking up.

"Branch?" The pink Troll looked surprised when she saw her boyfriend. "What are you doing here?"

"Well, this morning I slept in and when I got to the village I didn't see you around, which is very strange! So I came here, and I see you've got a fever." Branch than went to the kitchen and looked in a specific cupboard which said "MEDICINE".

"Love, what are you doing?" Poppy looked over to Branch which was pouring pink-ish liquid in a small cup. He then walked over to Poppy and gave her the medicine.

"You gotta drink this, but first let's take your temperature." Branch took out a thermometer from his hair and placed it in Poppy's mouth. "All we gotta do now is wait!"

~5 minutes later~

"Alright, Pops! Let's see your temperature." Branch took the thermometer and looked at it. "Well, it's 38,3 °C! Which means you stay home and rest!" The Troll then motioned to the Queen to drink the medicine. "Come on, drink it."

"Nuh-uh! I'm not drinking this!" Poppy refused to drink the medicine Branch gave her. "It smells like... Awful!"

"If you don't want to sing and dance again, then don't drink it. " The Troll noticed how Poppy's eyes got wider at what he said. Branch saw how quickly the pink Troll changed her mind about drinking the medicine. Poppy drank the medicine in no time! "Okay, that's for now! In a few hours you'll drink this again, ok?" All Branch got was a cough and a nod from Poppy. "If you need something don't worry. I'm here."

~A few hours later~

It was a few hours later, after Poppy took her medicine. Branch had taken good care of her. Thankfully her fever was almost gone, and it all because of Branch. Poppy was feeling way better than before.

"Hey, love, thank you soo much for taking care of me." Poppy got up from her bed and sat on the nearby couch, Branch was sitting on. She looked at him with a living smile, trying her hardest not to hug him.

"Why are you trying not to hug me?" Branch chucked a bit and pulled Poppy in a tight hug.

"Because I don't want to get you sick, Branchifer!"

"Well, if I do get sick, you're gonna take care of me right?" The couple shared a quick kiss and stared into each other's eyes.

"Of course, love. I love you.🩵"

"I love you too, Pops.🩷"
