We had a garden, in which we didn't have a lot except the big oak, who for a lot of years was one of my best friends. Our pod was on three floors, and the last one was mine. Before, it was an empty room with a slanted roof, but after a lot of beliefs I got the room and transformed it into my kingdom. It was my favorite place in the pod and with two words, it was my room. It wasn't the tidiest place in the world, but I knew where everything was, and it was always clean. Of course, for my grandma it wasn't enough, but that doesn't matter! My room was full of books and notebooks.

I didn't like going to school. I was getting sick at the thought of it, but there was one beautiful thing that didn't made me think about all the bad stuff in life. Poppy. My best friend! You could say that she was the opposite of me, but nevertheless could make me find something annoying in her. Well... maybe sometimes, but still. I loved her. She was a ball full of energy, light and positivity in one. We met in kindergarten. I didn't like to communicate with the other kids, because I thought that they were dumb. In the middle of the term, or whatever it's called in kindergarten, she was transferred in our group. It made me uncomfortable to know that I'll need to tolerate another stupid kid, which messes with its nose and pees in my bed, but I didn't have a choice. However, I wasn't quite right for her. In the first 10 minutes from her stay, Poppy was friends with every kid, made a hairstyle on two and placed the toys back in their places. Usually, I sat in the corners of the room, watching the kids. Why are they like this? Why am I with them anyway? What am I doing here? No one tried to talk to me, and when someone tried, things ended quickly. Everyone knew that they shouldn't talk with me, but obviously the ball from energy, which charmed every kid, even the teachers in the kindergarten, was coming towards me at full speed. My time for thinking was over, when seconds later the irritant stood in front of me. She looked at me.

Poppy was cute. She looked like an angel and she smelled like strawberries and cotton candy. I was ready to scold her and tell her to shush, but for my surprise, she didn't talk. Poppy quietly sat next to me, and started to watch the kids with me. I couldn't believe it, but a word left my mouth uncontrollably.

"Hi." I was surprised from myself. "I'm, Branch."

"Hi, Branch. I'm Poppy. You don't seem to like the others. Maybe it's not interesting for you, but I get you. I too like to think sometimes. What are you thinking about?"

Her voice was soft, filled with energy and life. I felt strange, because for the first time I didn't feel irritated from someone interrupting my thoughts.

"I don't like the others here. Why do I need to be here with them? They're stupid." There was silence. "I actually know why. I'm unlucky."

"Unlucky? What is this?" She asked me curiously.

"Unlucky, is a person, who doesn't have luck and bad things are happening to him. Like the reversed word for 'Lucky'. " I made it as clear as I could. I didn't like going into details because it made me in bad mood.

"I heard that everything happens with a reason. I, for example, fell and hit myself. It hurted and I broke my favorite scooter. It was my favorite scooter. I was kind of sad, but then, dad got me a new bike for my birthday, which I learned how to ride, without falling. I still have a scar on my knee, but it always reminds me to be more careful, when I'm riding my bike." She smiled and showed me the scar on her knee. Her words reminded me of my grandma, because she always told me this kind of stuff. I didn't understand her easily, but I understood Poppy. It wasn't clear enough for me anyway, and I wanted to ask about it, but then grandma called me, and it was time to go home.

"Branch. It was nice talking to you. Thank you and happy holidays! We will see each other soon!" She smiled and like the ball of energy she was, Poppy vanished for seconds from my sight, and all that was left, was the smell of strawberries and cotton candy...

HEY, GUYS! So this is actually a chapter from the book I read and it's called "The Reason" I think it's translated in English. 😛 Dealing with writer's block... :( That's why I translated this chapter! I've had this idea for a couple of days now and I finally made it! Let me know if you guys want me to translate more chapters, but the book is more about mental health, and there isn't much 'Broppy' moments. (Put 'Broppy' like this, cuz this isn't the real names of the characters, duhhh.😛) Anyways... LUV Y'ALL!❤
