19. Curse

Rishi's POV
I am standing in front of the operating room right now. The team took 30 minutes to get Di out of the car. 

No one except me in the family knows about Di's accident. After Advait Bhai informed me about it, I left the home hurriedly.

At first, I thought that he was pranking me, and I was angry. How could he be joking about someone's health? Hearing the seriousness in his tone made me think that he might not be joking. I was in denial, but then I remembered that Di had a hearing today, so she must be in court, and Bhai might have identified someone who looked similar to Di.

My world collapsed when I heard that Di's phone was in Bhai's hand, it affirmed that Di had been in a car crash, it was ironic as she said yesterday that she is not a child and can take care of herself.

Suddenly a nurse came out of the OT and said, "We need A+ blood type. Thus either of you have it."

"No, I am type B-", I told her.

"Neither me", Bhai replied.

"Papa has it. I will ask him to come." I said

I called Papa and told him to come to the hospital. But, I didn't tell him that we needed blood for Di's operation

"Rishi, what happened you called? Are you hurt somewhere? Oh, Advait you are also here", He started speaking as soon as he arrived.

"Papa calm down. We need A+ blood."

"Who needs it."

"Naina met with an accident and is in the OT right now.", Bhai replied before I could.

"What, she met with an accident and you want me to donate my blood for her? No way. I am not donating my blood for that worthless burden. Let her die in there. Neither will we be blamed for it nor would we have to see her ugly and fat face."

"Uncle, are you realising what you are saying? You are calling your daughter a burden and you are allowing her to die.", Bhai asked in an angry and harsh tone.

"Advait mind your tone and yes I will let her die because she is not my f*****g daughter she is the mistake that I made in my youth. I don't even care if she dies or lives in hell. I don't even want to see her face. She is the reason I was tied to an unwanted marriage. She is the reason why my parents hate me so much. She is the reason I was dismissed from my MD position. She is the cause why I am still not the CEO of my company. She is the reason for my downfall. She is just a curse for me. Nothing else."

"Make sure to call me when she dies.", Papa said this and left the hospital.

After listening to this Bhai was very angry it was like he would kill Papa if he again came in front of him. I was so scared to see him like this.

The nurse again asked, "Sir, have you arranged the blood? The hospital's blood bank does not have any more blood left. If A+ is not available, O- will also work."

"Nurse, I have O-blood. Take mine as much as you need, and please save her," Bhai said and left with the nurse.

I hope Di comes out safe and sound. I should inform someone at home. Papa already knows, but he won't tell anyone, or he will be at fault. Dadu-Dadi won't handle it well. Except for Mihir, no one else cares for Di. Mihir is not good at keeping secrets and would tell Dadu-Dadi. For now, let's leave it. I will ask Advait Bhai when he comes out.

It's been half an hour since Advait Bhai had gone in and has still not come out. In this half an hour, the nurse has already sent 4 bags of blood

"What is taking so much?"

"Nurse, how is my sister?", Rishi asks when he asks the nurse coming out of OT.

Rishi: Who is this?

???: Who are you and where is Naina?

Rishi: Excuse me, I first asked you a question. How do you have my sister's phone no?

??? (in mind): Who is he Rishi or Mihir? Let's call him Rishi.

???: Hi, I am Naina's client's best friend.

Hearing this Rishi calmed down a little and spoke politely

Rishi: Hello. Sir, my sister cannot talk right now. I apologise on her behalf, she is in OT right now. She met with a serious accident while coming to the court and is now being operated on. 

???: What? Is she okay?

???: Sorry, I am not A+ but there is someone in my known whose blood type is A+ and would be willing to donate.

Rishi: Thank you so much, sir. Kindly send him to -------- hospital.

???: No need, he will be there in 20 minutes.

Saying this ??? cut the call.

Advait came out within two minutes of cutting the call.

"Have you informed anyone about Naina's condition?", Advait asked when he finished the juice given to him by a nurse.

"In the family, except Papa no. Yes, to Naina's client friend, now he is sending someone to donate blood."

"Rishi, listen do not tell anyone about this. Not even your family, she might be targeted and you leave the hospital immediately and be careful on your way home. With this Rishi left the hospital and Advait stayed and waited for Naina's operation to be over quickly and successfully.

After some time he received Sarthak's call.
