"Yeh khandan mera hai. Jab maine usse kuch nahi kaha toh tum log uske bare mei bolne vale kon ho? Maine suna tha ek mahila dusri mahila ki dushman hoti hai, par yhan toh ek Maa apni beti ki dushman bani hui hai. Uska pedha huna galti nahi hai par is ghar mei pada huna galti zaroor hai. Aur yeh mat bholo ki agar voh aaj is ghar mei nahi hoti na, toh tum bhi is ghar mei nahi hoti." (This household belongs to me. When I didn't say anything to her, then who are you to talk about her? I heard that a woman is another woman's enemy, but here, a mother is her daughter's enemy. Her being born is not her mistake, her mistake is that she was born in this house. And don't forget that she was not born in the household, then you won't be here.) Amar Gupta said being angry and wanting to make Vanshika realise the mistake in her attitude towards his granddaughter.
"Aur Pragya kisi ko 'bloody attention seeker' bolne se phele do baar soch lena."
Saying this Amar Gupta left the room
"Dekho bhabhi, fir se us ladki ke chakar mei dant padegi."
Hearing the grandfather supporting his granddaughter while scolding his daughter-in-law intensified their hatred towards her.
Rishi's POV
I had to go to the company due to a problem faced by the Customer Experience department. It took some time to understand the actual situation. Due to Di's absence, we lacked a French translator and had to take the help of a university student.
Since I joined the company last year, Di has been acting as the translator as she has learned French and Japanese.
Papa doesn't know about this, I am sure if this information somehow reaches his ears, his already high blood pressure will go up even more and I would be thrown out of the company, while Di would have to listen to all their bullshit again.
Di denied it several times before agreeing due to my continuous requests. I know I know you might think of me as a jerk and would have cursed me a lot by now, but it was necessary.
A year before I joined the company, Mihir Bhai used to handle it, we got a lot of foreign projects but they were always more time-consuming due to the language barrier. Di came up with the idea of employing freelancers rather than having a proper language department, providing the most economical means.
Di has always been a great advisor and support for the company, she comes up with the most effective and efficient solutions to solve the problem, but she has been acting behind the scenes. No one except me and Mihir bhai know that a large share of appreciation goes to Di for helping the company reach where it is now.
When the problem was solved, I wanted to meet Di. It had been a week since she last visited, and I knew Dadu-Dadi was worried about her. But as promised to Advait Bhai, her condition is still a secret, and hopefully, no one except the two of us knows about the accident.
I texted Bhai about my plan to visit Di and asked him to see the hospital.
At the Hospital
Di is still in ICU and I only got 20 minutes to meet her.
