PART 1: Unspoken Confessions and Hidden Truths

"I like you, Gelo," Angie confessed while standing in front of him.

Gelo was taken aback and couldn't find the words to respond.

"I've liked you for a long time, Gelo," she added, her voice trembling with nervousness.

Gelo swallowed hard; he's processing what Angie had just said.

"Gelo..." Angie murmured softly, noticing how he remained silent. She knew he was stunned by her confession.

"Uhmm... Angie? What are you doing?" he finally asked.

Angie was speechless. After all she had just said it seemed like he hadn't heard or understood any of it.

"Gelo... I said I like you!" she repeated and her voice was more urgent.

Gelo scratched his head and turned away from her.

"Gelo... I'm serious this time. I really like you, Gelo. I like you!" she repeated over and over again.

After a few minutes of silence, Gelo turned back to her and said, "Anj, you know we can't be together. It's impossible for us." He spoke seriously, and he saw how Angie's face fell as she took in his words.

Angie took a deep breath, then slowly stepped back from Gelo. She started to cry unable to hold back her tears.

Gelo wanted to reach out to her to comfort her, but he stopped himself. After what he had just said he felt he had no right to console her when he was the one who had hurt her.

"Angie... please..." Gelo pleaded, hoping she wouldn't take his words too harshly.

But Angie broke down completely, turning away from Gelo. She was about to go down to the third floor when she ran into Maya, (Pretending to be Gelo's best friend) who was on her way up to meet him.

"Oh... Angie?" Maya exclaimed as soon as she saw Angie. She noticed the tears on Angie's face, and Angie hurried past her heading down the stairs. She's confused about what had happened and then Maya thought of Gelo. Maybe the two of them had a fight. Without wasting any more time, she headed straight to where Gelo was.

"Gelo?" Maya called out from a distance as she approached him.

Gelo immediately looked at Maya.

"What happened? Why is she crying?" she asked.

When Maya questioned Gelo, he turned away and sighed.

"What really happened? Why did things turn out like that with Angie?" she asked again, confused.

"Let’s not talk about it, Maya," he said, abruptly ending the conversation.

"Did she confess her love to you?" Maya asked out of nowhere.

Hearing this, Gelo looked at her for a moment. "How did you know?" he asked.

Maya smiled and said, "Why? It was obvious! Plus, I knew she had liked you for a long time," she added with a smile.

"Well, if you knew, why didn’t you tell me? I could have been prepared!" he said, then laughed.

Before Maya could respond, she laughed and said, "Did you really need to know? Besides, she already told you she liked you... so, feel at ease, Mr. Santos," Maya said while laughing.

Gelo laughed and said, "Stop bringing it up... you know it’s too impossible between us," then he stared at the beautiful view from the third floor.

Maya looked at Gelo when she heard what he said, then she grabbed his shoulder and said intimately, "You know your boundaries well, Gelo," almost leaning in for a kiss.
