A week had passed.

Maya was walking down the corridor when she noticed Angie sitting on the floor, her head resting against the wall. She looked pale and seemed unwell.

"Angie?" Maya called out in concern when she saw Angie’s pale face and weak posture. She immediately went to help her stand up.

Angie didn't say a word, and Maya quickly took her to the clinic.

At the clinic...

Angie was lying on a bed inside the clinic, while Maya sat by her side, waiting for the nurse to finish checking on her. Maya noticed the nurse's furrowed brow as she examined Angie. Curious, Maya asked,

"Uhmm... Nurse? What’s wrong with Angie?" she asked, noticing the worried expression on the nurse's face.

The nurse looked at Maya and asked, "Are you her friend?"

Maya nodded.

The nurse sighed and said, "She's 3 weeks pregnant."

Maya was left speechless, unsure of what to say or if she should even say anything about Angie's situation. She felt guilty for having intentionally hurt her the other day, not knowing she was pregnant. However, she was also curious about who the father of Angie's baby could be, given that Angie had been so in love with Gelo all this time. Maybe Angie had a boyfriend, despite her feelings for Gelo. Still, Maya was happy for her and decided to take care of her for the time being.

After a few minutes, Angie woke up from her deep rest. Upon waking, she saw Maya sitting beside her, staring at her. As soon as Maya noticed she was awake, she stood up.

"Anj? Angie, you're awake... uhmm, how do you feel? Are you feeling better?" Maya asked with a smile.

Angie wanted to be angry with Maya, but she couldn’t. Maya was still showing kindness, even though they were rivals for Gelo's affection.

"I'm okay now. And thanks for helping me," Angie replied, smiling back at Maya.

"I have something to tell you," Maya said, her excitement evident.

Maya's face was lit up with excitement, and Angie grew curious about what she was so happy to share.

"What is it?" Angie asked.

Maya smiled and said, "You're 3 weeks pregnant, Anj!" she exclaimed happily.

Angie was shocked and couldn't believe what she had just heard from Maya. The consequences of her actions with Gelo, Maya's boyfriend, were now clear, and all the pain from that time came rushing back. Instead of being happy, she burst into tears, unable to accept the reality of her situation.

"No! No! This can't be happening! No!" Angie screamed, sobbing uncontrollably.

"Anj? What's wrong?" Maya asked as she saw Angie's reaction. She tried to get closer, but Angie pushed her away, causing Maya to stumble back into a chair and scratch her arm.

The nurse quickly entered the room and calmed Angie down. Maya felt nothing but sadness at that moment; she didn't understand why Angie reacted so strongly upon learning she was pregnant.

...

"What happened? Why do you look so down again?" Gelo asked Maya, noticing her sitting on their terrace, looking lost.

"Something happened. I don’t know if I said something wrong or if it was wrong of me to tell her the truth about her condition," Maya replied sadly.

Gelo was confused about what Maya meant.

"What are you talking about? And who are you referring to?" he asked, bewildered.

"It's Angie," she said softly.
