Kita's POV
Thursday, February the 4th xx16. Just any date for most, but for me it was the day that would determine wether or not I'll be able to see HIM again. Well, there was still the festival if needed.
I thought you didn't care about it anymore ?
I mean... the important point is to know wether I'll succeed in becoming a hero but it's still a... significant point.
Of course...
Shaking my head to silence my unwanted thoughts, I went downstairs for breakfast, finding there a dadzawa drinking a giant mug of coffee black as a starless night, dead before even beginning the day, and a greenish Hitoshi staring at his own mug as if it contained every secrets of the univers. Or as if he wanted to drawn in... - barely stopped himself from puking -Yeah, he wanted to disappear at his mug's bottom.
I helped myself with a glass of orange juice, betting on vitamins. I down a huge glass but as always it didn't help, nether waking me, nor softening my perpetual muscles aches, not even appeasing my dry and burning throat. Welp, I'll maybe bet on the adrenaline from coming fights instead.
Once we all more or less ate - dadzawa sucked a astronomy pouch and Toshi refused to eat anything, and I was too stressed and tired to fight them today - the hero drove us to UA, and we waited the Yamadas at the gate.
Waiting was the worse. Once in the exams I was always focused, never stressed, but before... it was a nightmare. I would have one thousand times preferred to battle a ligue of villains. It was a shame that there were none of interest. Not that dadzawa would have let me though.
Then suddenly, the heavy silence was broken.
Dadzawa : Stop stressing like that. I would have never let you take an exam without making sure that you had the necessary skills. Do your best and everything will work out, even if there is some unforeseen event. Plus Ultra and all that.
We exchanged a glance with Toshi, speechless and amused. Then I laughed and he slightly smiled.
Me : Seriously, could you have said it with even LESS conviction ?
He didn't deign answer, but the air cleared a bit. And in the next second a car entered the parking, uncle Mic and Izu getting out of it and joining us.
Still stressed, we followed the adults without a word to the room for the writing part of the exam, still empty since there were still roughly two hours before the beginning of the test. The places being attributed so people from the same school would be separated, Toshi and I were each at a different end of the room, and Izu was dead center. We each put our things down before joining Izu at his desk until auntie Midnight asked us to sit, other students entering the room.
Four hours later, we were giving her our copies. I was slightly surprised, the exam was a bit different from the general studies one. Monday's one covered all subjects in equal parts, while this one was really general, with a slight dominance from heroes and quirk related laws studies.
The three of us ate in a quite corner, in silence. But, right before coming back to the room for the presentation of the practical exam, I addressed an important point.
Me : Guys... we have an extremely important decision to make.
Toshi somberly nodded, while Izu stared at us with surprise, curious although used to our antics.
Me : Uncle Mic will 100% try to set the mood, to have the students yell... and I'm almost certain that they'll leave him hanging.
The assembly made faces.
