Chapter 24- New Life

Zee's divorce from Baifern wasn't something you could just sweep underneath the rug.  It was messy. Baifern and her parents tried to milk Zee for everything that he has but because of his parents' intervention they couldn't get a cent from Zee or his family. It also turned out after Zee and his attorneys persistence it came to light that the child Baifern had was indeed not Zee's  child. After that revelation Baifern lost the case against Zee and his family

Zee turned to his uncles after his divorce was finalized he knew with their skills they could find anyone on this earth. He was free to search for Nunew. He didn't worry about his studies anymore he just needed to find the person he hurt the most. He has a lifetime of hurt to try and undo. Zee's uncles used their contacts to search for Nunew. They too missed him very much and was worried that he is all alone whole being pregnant. It took them weeks to finally find him. More than eleven hours drive from Bangkok. He went to Chiang Rai. A place they never thought of looking for him. They began to think he might have left the country.

Zee immediately drove to Chiang Rai without even knowing Nunew's address. He was that desperate to get to him. He arrived in Nunew's city and went to the hotel his uncles booked him at. He wanted to look presentable when meeting Nunew. After having a shower and dressing in fresh clothes he went to Nunew's apartment building. His uncles contact was very thorough that he even had the apartment number. He didn't even have to ask around and could go straight to Nunew's door. He stood outside the door nervously. He could hear voices inside. It took him a while to gather the courage to knock on the door. An old lady answered and he asked if Nunew was there. She asked his name and when he answered he heard someone approaching from deeper in the apartment.

Zee's eyes widened. His mouth was hanging open when he saw Nunew. Nunew looked beautiful. He looked ethereal. He looked like an angel. Zee wa so excited that he didn't notice that Nunew's eyes didn't have that loving expression he got used to. He begged Nunew to forgive him and give him another chance. Or even if he doesn't want him anymore just to be part of their child's life. Nunew was cold towards Zee and shouted that he doesn't want or need him there. He told him to leave. Zee kept begging untill Nunew slammed the door in his face.  He sat on his knees in front of Nunew's door crying and begging Nunew  to please forgive him and give him another chance and telling him he loves him.

Nunew also his knees on the other side of the broke down. He thought he would be strong when he would see Zee again but now he can't handle it. All the hurt he buried deep in his heart was back. He broke all over again. All this was too much for Nunew. He started getting pains in his lower belly and back. P'Jaa who was trying to calm him down realised that Nunew has gone into labor.  She quickly phoned her son who said he is sending an ambulance for Nunew and that P'Jaa must stay with him trying to calm him down and let him do breathing exercises. Zee on the other heard the raised voices and rushed in. He looked disheveled from crying and his eyes were red and puffy. Nunew started screaming at him to get out and asked him why he was there when he told him to go look for the father of his child elsewhere. Nunew was breathing heavily. The pain was very intense and it felt that he was going to break into two pieces. He got his breath back and looked at Zee. Hatred was evident in his eyes together with all the hurt and betrayal he felt.

Let's end this Nunew thought. With all the strength he could muster he got up from his knees and stood straight. He looked like an avenging Angel. These are not your children he said to Zee. You yourself said you are not the father Nunew continued.  So leave and never come back. I don't want to see you. You showed me what love means and it only means hurt and disappointment for me.

Nunew opened the door and pushed Zee out. Looking at the man with the hurt eyes did nothing to him. He didn't feel one ounce of sympathy because he knew that Zee knew that he was lying. He closed the door and collapsed.

Nunew woke up in the hospital. His babies were in a cot next to his bed. He can't remember anything after he pushed Zee out of the door. Nanon and P'Jaa was next to his bed smiling proudly at him. You did so well Nunew. Aside from your ramblings about a certain Hia you did really well. Nunew was shocked to learn he was going on about Zee while he was in pain. He said nothing further and just asked to hold his babies. They were so cute. Nunew could immediately see that one of his babies was an exact replica of their father. The other one looked more feminine. I don't even know the genders of my babies he chuckled as he started to undress the bottoms to check. Of course Mini Zee was the boy and the other one was a girl.

Hello my babies he cooed. You mommy is so excited to meet you. You will be loved all your life. I will make sure of that Nunew said to his children. It's just us against the world now babies. Be good babies and listen to mommy please he continued to talk to them. Later on P'Jaa and Nanon had to leave. Nanon assured Nunew that him and the babies would be able to go home after anfew days. Nanon just wanted to make sure Nunew is healing properly after the c-section he had. After the left Nunew laid on his side and looked at his babies with love shining in his eyes.

Look at the beautiful babies we made Hia he said while tears were streaming down his face. Zach he said touching hid baby boy's head and Zoe he said while touching his little girl. Nunew fell asleep with his hands on his babies and tears streaming down his face.

What Nunew didn't know is that Zee never left when he pushed him not the door. He followed them to the hospital and now he was standing in the room watching over them. He heard what Nunew said and he knows that it's his children. He just need to figure out how to convince Nunew to at least allow him to see them.

While Zee is watching over Nhu and their children he didn't know how much hurt awaits him.
