Time passes by like a slow blooming flower. The time of my life passes even slower. But the truth is you get older by the second. Being a teenager in this world makes it even slower.

It started with me. It was my fault. I went into the dark alley alone. I heard some noises but i didn't run....i should have. When it saw me i took off. As i was running i could hear it running to. I looked back. It was moaning and screaming, it was falling apart and it was bloody. I was scared.

When i got home i ran inside and slammed the door. I locked everything that opened and led outside. Then, my mom, dad, and two sisters ran downstairs. "What the hell is going on Alyssa?" my mom said. I was crying by then "There was something following me, it was chasing me and it was screaming and it was bloody and gross!"

My sister Abbey, being her nosy self asked "What was it?" I looked at her angrily, "I dont know. It looked like a person but it wasnt." My family comforted me. "Well lets go to bed." Maggie, my older sister, said. I slept in the same room as her and she was three years older so i listened. Going to sleep was the worst mistake i have ever made.

When i woke up everything was just madness. I looked outside, it was still dark. When i looked outside there were things on fire and everything was turned upside down. When i looked at Maggie's bed there was nothing. I got up and searched. They left me they actually left me.

I looked outside again. A man was in the middle of the street, dead. There was a thing eating him. This is crazy. I dont know what this is but i'm scared. It looked like the one i saw in the alley. These things look crazy so, i'm just gonna name them Crazies, till i find out what they really are.

I decided to get all the food together. Then i remembered all the extra guns and food in the loft. I went downstairs, i ended up with a 3 month supply of not canned goods and a month supply of canned goods. I found wood in the basement, nails in the kitchen, and got to work. I must have worked fast because i was done by sunrise. I left tiny cracks so i could look outside.

I decided to take a gun and lots of ammo upstairs to my bedroom. I left my third story window unblocked just incase i need to go and get something. I always keep a thick curtain on the window and the lights always off, and when i'm not in there, the door is closed. A lot of safety precautions but all to survive.
