All i hear is screams and i know they are here. I turn off the lights again and peek outside. They're starting to come in from everywhere. They walk really slow like sloths almost. I'm so scared right now. Maybe Abbey has her phone on her phone.

I really hope she responds. I'll know why she left. Maybe it was a good reason. Maybe they were rushed out by crazies and closed my door just in time for them not to see me. All i know is that i'm alone and i don't think she has her phone. Well if i was being rushed out i would forget mine.

At 9:00 I slept. Of course hearing gunshots made me wake up at 1:00, 2:00, 3:00, and 4:00. I decided not to go back to sleep. I wonder if there were any other people. When it got daylight i grabbed the biggest gun and climbed out my window to find out.

The first house i went to was Jim's. When i got up to his house the door was wide open, not a good sign. I aimed my gun and walked in slowly. I shut the door as i walked in. I go into the living room where i see a head sticking up over the couch.

I walk around to the other side and i think Jim is dead. I walk a little closer and then Jim whips out his gun on me.

We are just standing there, guns in each other's faces. I freeze with fear, Jim open your eyes and see me please, I think to myself too afraid to speak out loud. Jim opens his eyes.

"Oh come on, you damn near gave me a heart attack little lady" he said to me in frustration. I put my gun down in relief. "Jim, why was your door open?" I asked him. "I'm waiting to kill somethin." He replied with a big smile on his face. Oh god. "Jim, you're drunk." He looked at me with his big grin still intact. "Little lady, did i ever tell you about the time that I fought in Afghanistan?" I looked at him a little salty, "Jim everyone knows. Now come on we need to go check for others."

Jim got up, put clothes on, grabbed everything he could, and we left. We went to all the house in our neighborhood. No Andersons, no Jacobs, no Whites, also no Michaelson's, or Russells. There is no one left here. Me and Jim just went back to my house.

Jim gives me a sense of protection, like a father. He is big, and he fought in war. We ran into some Crazies on the way back and he fought them off like a pro. By the time we get back it's around 6:35. We decide to get something to eat and then go to bed.

"I'll take the first watch little lady" He said. "I have a name you know" I replied. He chuckled a little, "I know i've always called you that" (Oh i forgot to mention he is a long time family friend. We've lived across from each other since i was born, and years before that). I giggled a little. "Do you even know my name?" I asked him. He looked surprised, "Are you kidding me? Your parents never told you? Hell, I'm the one that gave them the name idea" he laughed, "You never know what to expect with them folks". I smiled, "I'm so glad you weren't ripped apart by slobbering freaks".
