Chapter 8 : Jaisi najar aa rahi hoon, waisi hi hoon

It seemed as if Rayan was not aware of his surroundings and he was just staring at her.

Alina wore a black colored sharara dress with stone work on it. A dupatta was draped over the shoulder from one side and was held spread out on the hand. She was wearing big white stone earrings in her ears. Her long hair which was always tied in a clutch or a pony, today was left open after curling it from the bottom which was making her hair even more beautiful.

Rayan had never seen her like this before. Alina was always seen in jeans and loose shirts or t-shirts. She never wore anything different from her comfort zone. She remained like this even in any festival or function.

"Brother, just stop it and take a look at the surroundings" Rabiya went near Rayan and said softly. Rayan came to his senses and started looking here and there while avoiding eye contact.

" Aap hi ki biwi hai kabhi akele mein fursat se dekh lena"

"No, you are misunderstanding me"

"Now don't lie brother, I have seen this beautiful sight with my innocent eyes." He again stole glances, found nothing to say so he made an excuse and went inside.

Everyone else also went to the hall. The preparations for the wedding were very grand; the decoration of the hall, the food, and the bride and groom who were about to start their new life looked very lovely with each other.

Rabiya and Alina also met their class fellows there. After some time Alina and Rabiya came out in the lawn and both of them started walking in the lawn. Rayan was also present in the lawn and seeing them, he also came near them.

"What happened? Why did you both come out?"

"Oh nothing brother, anyway we thought of taking a walk in the lawn outside for a while"

"Oh, okay" his eyes were on Alina only. Alina did not look at Rayan even once.

"Excuse me guys, I have got a message from mom, she is calling me, I will be back just now", Rabia said to both of them.

"Wait Rabia, I will also come with you", as Rabia was leaving, Alina immediately said to her.

"No, there is no need Alina, I am just going to return, you wait here, okay",then she left from there without listening to Alina and Alina just kept looking at her foolishly.

"She will come soon" Rayan said to her when he saw her upset. Alina did not say anything, she was still shocked by Rabia's action.

" Kaisi ho Alina? Actually tum se thik se baat hi nahi ho payi meri ?, his tone was very soft.

" Jaisi najar aa rahi hooon, waisi hi hoon ", She replied in rhyme and started walking ahead. Rayan suddenly became serious.

"Wait Alina" She stopped but didn't turn back

Here Rabia reached the entrance of the hall and looked back, "Sorry Aline, I had to lie to you, but it was necessary to do so, so that you and brother could talk, only if you talk to each other will you be able to solve the issue", Rabia said in her heart and then moved towards inside.

"I know you will be angry with me and it is justified to be angry" Rayan came in front of Alina and said to her.

"Angry? Why would I be angry with you? I don't think there is any such relationship between us where I can show my anger." She said with a sense of strangeness. Don't know why but maybe something pricked Ryan's heart.

"There's still a bond between us that you can't deny," he reminded her.

"Which relationship?" Alina asked him while looking into his eyes. "That relationship which is limited only to a piece of paper and which has nothing to do with our life." The emotions which were suppressed for so long were desperate to come out today. Alina suddenly turned to one side and closed her eyes and blinked a couple of times. She did not want to appear weak in front of him.

"It's better we don't talk about this" she told him, somehow controlling herself and walked away without listening to Rayan.

He just kept looking at her as she went. Rayan, who was already surrounded by embarrassment and God knows what other feelings, could not say anything.
