Chapter 6 : Alina's transformation

Alina came back to her room disappointjed when her words were not accepted . Her heart was very sad; this was the first time she cried so much today during the day; she had never cried so much before. Even now all the same things were going on in her heart and mind, due to which her head started becoming heavy and she started feeling suffocated. She got up and moved towards the balcony. She was feeling good after coming out in the open air.

She was standing leaning against the railing, her short hairs were flying in the wind and touching her face, pushing them back with one hand she looked ahead where Rayan's room was, Rayan was present outside in the balcony.While taking a walk, he was talking to someone on the phone and was also laughing out loud at something, this thing hurt Alina's heart,

Kaha woh dinbhar ro rokar apna dil jalati rahi aur yaha ye shehjada Alina ka dil tod kar khud sukun se hans raha tha

Alina cast a burning glance at him and went into the room but while leaving she did not forget to close the balcony door loudly and in this silent night the sound of this door was enough to attract Rayan's attention and this happened too, Rayan immediately looked in that direction but by then Alina had entered the room, Rayan shook his head and started using the phone again.

Alina came into the room and sat on the bed, she took the pillow in her hand and sat leaning back. When Rayan's parents had come to talk about the relationship between her and Rayan, she had heard their entire conversation from the balcony upstairs. She was very happy but after coming down she pretended in front of her parents that she did not know anything. Then when her mother told her about the relationship, she gave a normal reaction.

From the next day onwards Rabia also started teasing her by calling her 'Bhabhi' on which she would feel shy initially but later would silence Rabia by pretending to be angry. But now it seemed as if everything was over.

Alina had become a little quiet. She never went anywhere else from home to college and straight home. Even after coming home, she spent all her time in her room. She had also stopped going to Rayan's house. If she had any work with Rabia, she would call her to her house or do it in the college itself. This had now become Alina's daily routine.

Alina came out of her memories and looked in the mirror. A tear had rolled down from her eye. She thought that if she had known that Ryan had returned, she would never have gone there, but still they had to meet someday. She wiped her tears and picked up the oil bottle kept in front of her and started oiling her hair. Then she made a braid and after that she completed her assignments and went to sleep.

Rayan woke up late in the morning as thoughts about Alina made him sleep early at night. As he woke up he went to Rabia's room to ask her about Alina but Rabia was not there. When Rayan asked Zainab he came to know that Rabia had left for college early. Rayan felt dejected and went to freshen up. At breakfast time Shamir asked him to come with him to the office that day so he went with him.

He was thinking that how will he face Waqas, what will he say to him, he was preparing himself for this the whole way, on reaching office Shamir took him to Waqas's cabin but contrary to Rayan's expectations, Waqas met him very nicely and did not say anything about his leaving like this, so he also relaxed, but still he felt embarrassed deep inside.

He had spent the entire day today trying to understand and complete office work. In the evening, while returning from office, Shamir received a call from Rabia. Her car had broken down and now she had sent the car for repair which was going to take some time to get repaired.

"Rayan, let's go towards Rabia's college, we have to pick up Rabia and Alina, their car has broken down", Shamir said to him while sitting in the car, he nodded yes, he sat on the driving seat and started the car and turned it towards the college road.

"By now I would have asked my driver to call the car. You have unnecessarily troubled uncle." Alina said to Rabiya. At this time both of them were staying in the college campus.

"Nothing will happen my dear, anyway dad was returning home from office so he will pick us up too on his way", Rabia told her.

"Now you will not listen to me, you will do as you please" he told her in an annoyed tone and Rabia could not stop herself from smiling.

"Okay, let's have a nice cup of tea till dad comes", she put her arm around his neck and took him towards the cafe. Both of them used to go to college together, sometimes Alina would take her car and sometimes Rabia. There was no change in their friendship, new relationships do not break old relationships.
