Chapter 5

"You can have visitor in your room. Friends can sleep over, but make sure you will not make unnecessary noise and disturb other students that are also staying in the dorm."

Pond and I nodded simultanueosly.

"Respect other tenants. Don' t bully anyone. Don't engage in any fight nor start any fight."

Again, Pond and I nodded our head.

"You are not allowed to enter girls room. Whether you are a friends or family members, you are not allowed to go there. If you need something on any girls tenants we have, you can asked her to meet you at the hallway or at the reception area. Violating that rules will not just banned you yo use the dorm but also a 2 days suspension in the university."

We both nod our head, again.

"No drugs. As I said, your friends or your brother can sleep over but no drinking or doing illegal drugs. I think you are well aware of that sunction about it."

"We do." Pond answer.

"Good. Since we are clear of some major rules, here is your keys. You can have your things transfer in your dorm."

"Thank you miss Elai." I said and grab the key she put on the table.

Miss Elai nod her head. We bid goodbye and walk to the elevator to check our room first.

"Are you both sure about it?" Gem ask.

"Gem, don't worry too much. You're twin is already grown up. Pond is a responsible perso." Aou said.

"I agree Phi Gem. Let your brother spread his wings once in a while." Fotfot said.

Yes, they all come with us. They don't have class, actually, all of us don't have class the entire afternoon. Professors has an urgent meeting with the school owner, that's why our classes are cancelled.

"You will never understand how I feel. I can trust Pond. He can take care of my brother, but I can't trust my brother of taking care of himself. I don't want him burden Pond at all. I know him well."

"You don't know me well Gem." I seriously said. I was offended of what he said.

He never let me do anything at the house.  His reason is, my mom asked him to take care of me and he is the eldest between us. For him, it's his duty. He took his position as eldest seriously. He never let me show to him that I can also do the things he can do.

"Phu.."

"Gem, I can take care of myself. I know how to do it. Also, you don't have to worry, I will not be a burden to Pond. Actually, he doesn't need to accompany me to my dorm. I can leave alone."

I feel hurt that my brother can't trust me.

Yes, all I want is to experience this kind of life, but it doesn't mean that I cannot take care of myself at all or I will not do it and let someone do it for me. I am not a kid anymore.

"Sorry, I'm just worried. You will be separated from me just now, Phu."

I know. Ever since, Gem and I are always together. Even now, we have different courses, but we still go to the same school. I can understand his frustration but it still offends me that he can't trust me.

"Can you trust me this about this Gem?"

"I'll try. I'll try my best to trust and understand you. Pero kung magkasakit ka, uuwi ka sa bahay.But if you get sick, you go back home.

"Gem." Isn't it normal to be sick? I don't have

"Phu. I know you know your body too well. We are both aware that you don't just get sick easily. You will only get sick if you are so stressed. Or you don't takr care of yourself and always do reckless thing like showering in the rain."

"Fine." I turned my back on Gem.He and him being a smart ass is what I really hate the most.

The room that was given to me Pond was big. There are two beds that was only separated by a rectangular, knee height bedside cabinet. There are also two small night table with small lamp. Two study table on both side of the room. Beside it is a build in cabinet. There is also a medium size dining table that was place on the opposite side where the bed was place. No sink, no cr. Sink, cr, kitchen and laundry room are shared by the other tenants. It was located at the end of side of the second room. Students are not allowed to cook inside the room. There is also a balcony. It's not that huge but big enough for two people. It can be use to dry clothes and towels.

"I never thought that the university dorm is nice." Aou said after checking the room. Well, all of them checked the room, especially Gem. He checked every corner of the room.

"Do you want to stay in the dorm also Aou?" Fotfot asked.

"As if I can. No one will agree. Pond will be the first to say no." Aou said, pouting his lips like a child.

"You are aware of your condition Aou. You need a close monitoring. As for me, I can't monitor you." Pond said.

"I know. You choose your friend over me. You choose Gem, over me."

Choose Gem? What does it mean?

I look at Pond. His hand is on Gem's shoulder, as usual. They are close but seems like much closer these past few days. I don't want to think that there is more than friends between them. No, not my brother. They are just close. Period.

"Your choices of words are wrong Aou." Gem said, smiling while snaking his hand on Pond's waist.

"Opps. Sorry. I'm willing to correct my words if misundestanding occured soon."

"Save your explanation. You have to do that, soon." Pond said.

"Do I have to save some explanation too?" Gem asked, smiling to Pond.

"Yeah. You also have to prepared for his wrath."

"Okay. Noted on that."

What are they talking about? Who are they referring too? Does Pond have someone special to him?

"Phu, when are we going to move here?" Pond asked. His has wide smile and his eyes are sparkling like a star.

"You can move in anytime you want. I'll move in today."

"Why don't we move in together?"

"Whatever."

I turn my back to them and left the room.

I don't know, but the excitement I am feeling a while ago gone. Sadness take over.

Pond excitement and happiness is something I never see in him. I'm not sure but, seems like he already have someone special.

Maybe that is the reason why he want to stay at the dorm with me. Maybe that special someone stay also in dorm.
