Last day of school before summer vacation, when a student of class X named Samridhi was returning home from school. When she arrived at the entrance of her house, she noticed two unknown individuals were sitting on sofa in front of her grandparents. After seeing her, grandma asked her to sit beside her. Samridhi couldn't understand what was going on but felt a weird aura as usually no one comes to their house. She whispered in her grandma's ear with confusion as they were wearing expensive ornaments and having an appearance of elites, "Grandma, may I know who are they?"

Grandma smiled and answered, "Sure dear, they are your real parents and the king and the queen of this kingdom."

Samridhi said in shock, "But grandma, I...."

Before completing her words grandpa said, "Oh dear, I know what you want to ask so listen we weren't supposed to tell you about them so we lied."

"But grandma, grandpa why you are telling me this now if it wasn't supposed to tell me?"

"Dear, now you already turned 16 so I hope you can understand" said the king, Samridhi's actual biological father.

"Your highness, I have no intent to disrespect you but it's quite unbelievable for me that inspite of having parents I was living my life as an orphan for past 16 years." Samridhi said with glittery eyes.

The stranger claimed to be her mother said, "I understand you, my dear but the circumstances had never let us to reveal the truth" added to that the king started, "When your mother, the queen was on the verge of giving birth, the king of the kingdom of sea initiated a battle to extend their territory in east. Unfortunately, for that reason I had to leave you my dear princess as you are the future ruler of this kingdom. In order to protect you from that deadly battle I had to give you to my one of most trusted nobles whom you know as your grandpa. It has been 16 years, now I could reveal the truth to you, my dear princess."

He continued, "My dear, I know I can never replace the years we lost, but I promise to make up for it. You are the rightful heir to the throne, and I want to teach you everything I know"

The princess still reeling from the revelation, looked around the opulent room, trying to process her new identity. She saw the kindness in her father's eyes and felt a spark of connection.

"Why did you keep this a secret even after the war ended?" she asked, her voice barely above a whisper.

"I wanted to protect you from those who would seek to harm you" the king replied.

"But the war is completely over now, it's time for you to reclaim your rightful place."
