The same roof. (Bkdk)

Chapter three

The next day comes around in a blur. Deku's sleep being undisrupted. Deku slowly wakes up and rubs his eyes. Looking groggy, as if he didn't get any sleep at all. He decides to finally get up and get dressed, making himself look somewhat presentable. He then makes his way to school.

He walks into class 1-A, all eyes on him once again. Some glances were full of concern, some just confused, but one in particular, was from Bakugo, he looked...guilty? Deku notices he's staring a little and quickly removes eye contact and sits down. He then gets a note thrown on his desk. Deku opens the note to see Bakugo's handwriting. He sighs and reads it.

"Please hear me out. I know you're hurt and that's completely okay but please understand I didn't mean it to be like that. I was frustrated, I wasn't thinking, kirishima thought it would be a good idea to get back at you since we thought you were cheating on me with Todoroki. I regret it, so much. I'm so sorry Izuku."

The note read.

Deku finishes reading the note, tears streaming down his face now. He feels a tiny bit of hope but also anger. He was mad at himself for not listening before, but also mad at Bakugo for not communicating with him. He furiously scribbles down a reply onto the note and throws it back to Bakugo when nobody's looking. He sees bakugo open it up like there's no tomorrow. Taking in every word.

"You really hurt me you know? I would never cheat on you with Todoroki, you know him and I are just friends. I'm sorry for not hearing you out sooner, I was upset and angry. Please don't ever think I'd do something like that to you again, you should already know that, same with Kiri and the rest of the class."

Deku watches as Bakugo writes down a reply and throws the letter back. He opens it and reads it again.

"I know Izu. I'm so sorry. Can we talk after class, in person??"

Deku writes a quick approval response and throws it back, ending the conversation that was held through a singular piece of paper.

*the bell rings*

Deku gets up from his seat and goes to leave the class, before getting pulled back gently. He turns around and looks up to face Bakugo, face full of guilt and worry. Before Deku could speak, Bakugo starts apologising profusely, explaining the whole story and saying that he loves Deku at least a hundred times. Deku looks down, consumed in thoughts, and finally replies.

"I forgive you. But never pull that crap again, got it?" He says, expression upset but stern, making it known this is the only chance he will give Katsuki.

"I won't! Ever again! I swear!" Bakugo replies desperately.

Before Deku could speak, he wraps his arms around Bakugo and gives him a tight hug, something he's needed for a while. Bakugo's eyes widen as he hugs Deku back, gently playing with his hair. Bakugo smiles at Deku, glad they've made up, but there's one underlying thought in his mind. Something that haunts him, that fills his mind with guilt and regret.
