"I stay home for one day. and you're telling me that you broke up the school's most popular couple?" Ella exclaimed incredulously. So far, according to Bridget, she had been spelled, broke up a couple, foiled the VK's revenge plan, and is now an even bigger target for them.

Bridget sighed as she flopped onto her bed. "Ugh, I feel terrible. What do I do now? I mean- they obviously have it out for me," She groaned and put her head into her hands.

"Wait. Wait, wait, wait, wait, backtrack for a second. What do you mean you got spelled?" Ella shook her head in confusion. Was she really spelled? And if so, wouldn't Bridget be unaware that she got spelled?

"Yeah... Morgie tried to give me a cupcake that had a love spell in it. Funnily enough I actually looked at James first," She rambled on, toying with a strand of her pink curls as got up and walked to her vanity.

Ella blinked, trying to process the information. "Wait, so... shouldn't you be, I don't know, completely infatuated and unable to think of anything but James?"

Bridget turned to face Ella, her expression gentle and understanding. "Oh, didn't I mention? Wonderlanders aren't affected by love spells. That's why our queen is called the Queen of Hearts. We're a bit different when it comes to magic like that." She gave a soft chuckle, smoothing her pink curls.

Ella's jaw nearly hit the floor. "So, you were just... pretending to be under a spell?"

Bridget nodded, her eyes sincere. "Exactly. I didn't want to cause any trouble, but when I saw how hurt James was after catching Hilde with Hans, I felt I had to do something. I didn't think he'd ever break up with her on his own, so I thought if I stepped in, maybe it would help clear things up."

Ella stood there, processing the revelation. "Wow, Bridget. That was... actually pretty clever of you. I didn't think you had it in you."

Bridget's face softened. "I didn't want to hurt anyone. I just saw an opportunity to help, and it seemed like the right thing to do. Gotta get your hands dirty to get right, no? I learnt that from the best!"

Ella chuckled at her best friends antics.

"Told you I'm capable of making my own decisions."

"I stand corrected."

James was racing through the echoing hallways of the girls' dormitory, his heart pounding as he approached the door he was hoping would provide some answers.

He paused outside a richly decorated oak door, gathering his breath before knocking with a mixture of hope and urgency. The door creaked open to reveal a short and petite girl with a cascade of golden hair and striking green eyes. Her purple gown swept elegantly over the floor, her locks gathered in a loose braid.

"Hook? What are you doing here?" she asked, her brows knitting together in curiosity as she gestured him inside. Her room was a charming blend of warmth and whimsy, adorned with paintings and lanterns that cast a soft, inviting glow.

"Rapunzel! I need your help." She led him to her small coffee table and served a piping hot cup of espresso.

"Well, what can I help you with? Pottery class? Art class? Singing lessons?" she teased, her tone light and playful. James couldn't help but chuckle at her assumption that he needed help with school subjects.

"Funny you'd think I'd need help with academics," he replied, shaking his head.

"Well, considering your track record, it wouldn't be surprising," she shot back. Despite the jest, her tone was warm, and James found her easy camaraderie oddly comforting. It felt like they were family, even though they had just met.

"You're not exactly the sharpest tool in the shed, and we both know that."

Choosing to ignore her jab at his smarts, he continued. "It's more of a magical issue, I'm afraid. Think you can handle that, lass?" Hook questioned as he burnt his tongue on the espresso she had kindly provided.

"Who do you think I am, Faye?" Rapunzel teased with a knowing smile. She chuckled at his expression. "Just kidding. I can definitely help. What's the problem?"

"Well, you know Bridget? The cheerful pink-haired princess?" Rapunzel nodded, encouraging him to continue. "She's been hit with a love spell, and now she's... well, she's in love with me."

Rapunzel's eyebrows shot up in surprise, and she leaned back with a smirk. "So? Doesn't sound like too much of a problem. Isn't that what you always wanted?"

"No! Of course not! I mean—" James stammered, flustered by the implication.

"Calm down, I'm just messing with you. Don't think no one notices your little glances at her when she's not looking. But seriously, isn't Bridget the princess of Wonderland?" she asked with a hint of amusement.

"Yeah but why does that matter?" He replied, confused as to how it was related.

Rapunzel rolled her eyes playfully, giggling at his lack of general knowledge. "People from Wonderland aren't affected by love spells. Queen of Hearts? Hello? You think a simple love spell is gonna work on them?"

James stood there, dumbfounded, processing the revelation. "What?"

"You're girlfriend's a pretty good actress if I do say so myself."
