Of staying in silence.
Jungkook sat in their shared bed, duvet covering half of his body. Taehyung had just come home not long ago and was in the shower getting ready for bed. He had started coming home earlier more often which surprised the photographer. Somehow it gave him hope.
Hope that he had chosen him.
He waited patiently for Taehyung to get out of the shower, because he had finally decided to break his silence. Taking deep breaths to calm down his rapidly beating heart. He felt extremely anxious to the point he could almost taste blood in his throat. However, he kept his composure.
This needs to happen
Despite the shaking of his hands, he never wavered his decision to confront his husband. In a way, he was proud of himself.
Jungkook had always suffered from bad anxiety, ever since he was young. It affected many parts in his life. He had been extremely hesitant to take photography because it didn't have a steady paycheck. His family had also discouraged him and suggested that he take a medical course instead, and follow the footsteps of his father.
He never argued because they were right.
Well, that was until he met Taehyung in senior year.
It was a beautiful day in fall.
The air was chilly, not enough to freeze idle water but enough to comfortably wear a nice hoodie outside. Needless to say, it was Jungkook's favorite season.
Jungkook sat in the bleachers outside, near the football field. Waiting for his best friend to show up, he started eating his 'banana kicks'. His camera hung on his neck, situating itself on his lap.
Looking around the field he saw the football team practicing for their upcoming game. He took some photos of the players and some cloud pictures here and there.
He looked through his lens trying to find something to capture. Until he found a brown head of hair not far from the field he was in.
Jungkook zoomed into the figure. It was a guy, dressed in the same uniform Jungkook was wearing. He was crouched down, his eyes focused on something. Jungkook assumed it was a butterfly since they practically took over the field. In guy's hands seemed to be an unsealed mason jar.
"Oh this is not gonna end well" Jungkook mused, a wide smile forming on his lips.
The guy charged at the butterfly, but his foot slipped causing his face to land straight onto the dry soil. Jungkook was having the time of his life capturing the man's soil covered face with his camera.
Another student came into his view, he was extremely tall for a high schooler. The said student was laughing like a hyena, slapping the dry soil in amusement. Jungkook laughed along as he took continuous shots.
"Are you spying on other people again?" Suddenly his best friend's face came into view, catching Jungkook by surprise.
"Jesus Christ! Never scare me like that again" Jungkook put a hand above his rapidly beating heart, taking in deep breaths to calm down.
"Well maybe you should stop spying on people through your camera like a pervert" Jimin commented as he unpacked his lunch for the day.
"Don't act like you don't borrow my camera to spy on the student council president" Jungkook retorted, stealing one of his best friend's egg rolls.
Jimin glared at Jungkook, which failed since he looked like a harmless chicken. The younger simply pinching his cheek, cooing at him. Which was returned with aggressive slaps on his arm.
Jungkook chuckled softly "oh quit it, you love me~" he teased rubbing his arm where Jimin had mercilessly hit him.
Jimin shook his head, returning his focus back on his food "You're lucky I do you lil shit"
They both sat there, laughing, and eating until their lunchbreak was over. The two best friends went their separate ways.
