The next few days he took his time to brood on what Chanyeol had said that night. He was right, he still had time to explain and fix everything.
He was ready to get back up and face what he had done, and fight for what he had lost.
After weeks, possibly months of drowning himself in Soju and sadness. He finally had the courage to run the company again.
He was not completely healed, actually he was far from it.
As they say however, Time stops for no one.
He tried his best to get up in the morning, although he was a bit sluggish, he still managed to get his suit on and eat a piece of toast.
Chanyeol was surprised to see Taehyung awake early in the morning. His hair was slicked back like before and face shaven clean. His eyebags from the many sleepless nights he spent still visible, but not too prominent with a little concealer that was thinly laid on it.
He didn't comment about Taehyung's new demeanor, instead Chanyeol gave him a knowing smile. A smile that said "I'm proud of you".
The taller drove both of them to the company. He saw how many of their employees had started whispering and glancing their way. News spread around quickly and Chanyeol was not proud of it. Taehyung on the other hand paid no mind to it, which wasn't odd. The latter never really cared about what people assumed of him unless it was close friends and family. He did his job well, and anything he did privately was no one's business.
Taehyung looked completely normal on the outside. His intimidating aura still strong as ever, but Chanyeol knew how hard it was for him to come back to this place.
The CEO made his way back to his office. Breathing in the woody scent of the room, smiling sadly of who it reminded him of.
As he got to his desk, he saw a brown enveloped placed neatly on top. His eyebrows furrowed as he removed his suit jacket placing it on his leather chair.
He took the letter in his hands and opened it, and as soon as he read it he knew.
The battle had ended before he could pick up his sword.
His hands tightly clutched the divorce papers in his hands, tears pooling under his eyes as he saw Jungkook's signature.
Taehyung had no idea what had happened in him, but the next thing he knew he was running out of the building and getting a cab.
Everything happened so fast, and soon he found himself in front of his and Jungkook's shared home. He had no idea what he would do, no idea what he would say when he met the photographer.
Then... he saw him... rolling out an eerily familiar suitcase out of the house.
