Jungkook sighed as he set the last suitcase down on the ground. His eyes red and puffy from how much he had cried in packing Taehyung's stuff. The smell of vanilla sticking to each piece of clothing he folded. He knew he had to move on, and he couldn't do that if the moment he woke up he was reminded of no one else but Taehyung.

He had decided to file for a divorce after all, after several months of thinking. It wouldn't take that long to process, since he and Taehyung had decided to get a prenup before they got married. They didn't have any shared bank accounts, lots or had children to fight for custody. He just needed Taehyung's signature and the process would be smooth sailing from there.

However, he underestimated how hard it would be to get the signature.

He came to this realization as he saw the source of his sorrows standing before him, panting and sweating. His hands holding a brown envelope.

"What are you doing here? Are you going to pick up your shi-"

"What the fuck is this??" Taehyung yelled, throwing their divorce papers on the pavement.

Jungkook emotionlessly picked them up and organizing them once more. His eyes avoiding Taehyung's, knowing full well he wouldn't have the strength to stop his tears.

"Don't make this harder than it has to be Taehyung." Jungkook's voice was stern yet void of life.

The latter was about to go back inside until Taehyung stepped in his way, stopping him. His mask was on the verge of breaking.

"Get out of the way Tae- "

"You still love me don't you...?" Taehyung questioned, his voice quivering.

A long silence passed...

"Would it still matter even if I did." Jungkook finally looking up eyebrows furrowed, not caring how tears had fallen from his eyes.

His words hitting Taehyung painfully

"Jungkook-ah... please... Please don't throw away our marriage like this, let me exp-"

"How fucking dare you say that I'm the one throwing our marriage away" Jungkook yelled after slapping Taehyung across the face. His eyes wider than ever.

"Do you have any idea what I've been through?? How many times I tried fighting for you?? How many nights I spent crying in the cold??" Jungkook sobbed as Taehyung looked at him with such regretful eyes.

Jungkook kept going, until his words were muffled by a bone crushing hug. He tried getting away, hitting Taehyung's chest over and over again, pushing him away with all the strength he could muster, thrashing under his hold.

But his efforts fell flat.

Eventually giving up, Jungkook let his hands fall on his side as he sobbed onto Taehyung's neck. Savoring the smell of vanilla, he had loved for so long. Taehyung whispered "I'm sorry" in his ear like a mantra. The latter never wanting to let go.
