THERE WAS AN EXPLOSION.

Bryan's lips slowly moved against mine as he wrapped his arms around me, his fingers burying themselves in my hair.

I touched his cheek, played with the hair on his nape. I can feel my body buzzing with need and hunger, demanding more from Bryan.

But I kept kissing him like we had all the time in the world—like he won't be gone tomorrow, like this was what we've always done every night.

He met my lips with the same passion, the same tenderness, the same longing. Tears started to fall down my cheeks as gingerly, we broke apart, still holding each other.

I leaned my forehead against his, not opening my eyes. “I . . . I don't want you to leave.”

I didn't want him to sacrifice his plans for me, but I wanted to let him know just what I thought about his departure. He was the only one I had here—I can't imagine spending the next three months without him.

“Juliet, look at me.” My eyelids fluttered open. His eyes were the brightest I've seen them, shining with so many emotions that I almost looked away. “I'll stay here, if that's what you want. I won't leave until you say so.”

My heart soared with joy. “Really?”

His smile was so breathtakingly beautiful. “I will do anything for you, baby.”

“Thank you.” I shifted so I was hugging him. “But I know I can't keep you here, as much as I want to. The lads need you, and I don't want you to give up your career for me.”

When I don't even know what I really feel for you.

I felt him kiss my hair. “I'm so lucky to have you.”

I grinned against his chest. “That, you are.”

“So is he really gone then?” Sander asked a day after Bryan's departure.

I paused from wiping a table. “Yeah.” The way Bryan smiled at me before he went inside the plane was so beautiful and heartbreaking that I can't sleep last night.

Bloody hell, I will miss him so much.

Sander casted me a knowing look. “You sure you guys aren't in a relationship?”

I shook my head, a faint smile forming in my face. “I don't know, boss. Maybe it's a good thing he left, so I could sort out my feelings for him.”

He flashed me a smirk. “Pretty sure you're smitten.”

An image of Shane and I kissing passed at the back of my mind. “I'm not ready for another relationship.” Shiela's curious gaze at our direction caught my attention. It was my turn to smirk at my boss. “Speaking of relationships, how's yours with Shiela?”

Unsurprisingly, a blush colored his cheeks as he averted his eyes. “I don't know what you're talking about.”

This was too entertaining. “Pretty sure you're smitten,” I mocked with a faux batting of eyelashes.

He glared at me. “Shut the bloody  hell up, Juliet. I swear if she hears—”

“If who hears what?” Shiela interrupted, standing beside a non-breathing Sander. She gave me a tight smile. “Is he bothering you again?”

As far as Sander told me, he and Shiela has been friends since they were in secondary school and since Shiela was really pretty, sweet, and kind, you could only imagine what happened inside the poor guy's brain.

Throwing him a smug smile, I shook my head at Shiela. “Nah. He's just being . . . a baby, as usual.”

She didn't look too convinced as she glanced from him to me. “Okay.”

Sander's face resembled a tomato, although if Shiela noticed, she didn't show. “Don't believe Juliet, please. She's just messing with me.”

An awkward moment passed where the two of them got locked in a stare-down and I was watching them. Shiela sighed, looked away, and shrugged. “Not my business,” she said with an air of nonchalance as she walked away.

I dramatically leaned into Sander's ear, hiding my mouth from onlookers with my hand. “I think she's jealous,” I whispered, staring after Shiela's stiff posture as she attented a costumer.

Sander swatted my hand, giving me a half-hearted glare. The lad couldn't be intimidating to save his life. “This is your fault. I'm never going to have a chance with her.” He heaved a deep sigh, his shoulders sagging.

An idea sparked in my mind. “This is only just the beginning, dearest boss.” His head snapped back to me in curiosity. I smirked. Might as well make myself useful for the next three months. “I've got your back on this.”

“What are you talking about?”

“What else? I'll help you get the girl you want.”

Short chapter.

That kiss though LOL HAHAHA. I wanted it to end at their whole kissing scene, but yeah, the chapter is really too short if ever.

Anyway, hope you liked it! I personally think JulietandBryan's kiss is super cute and with the way they were slowly getting used to each other in a whole different way than before, I think a slow, passionate, and sweet kiss really suited them.

But that's just me.

Get ready for the next chapter! We have 15 chapters left!
