The next morning Keefe woke up to find Sophie sleeping peacefully on his chest. At some pint they had moved to his bed it seems. If he was being honest he still couldn't believe that they were dating. He wanted to take her out for breakfast so he started to shake her awake, "Hey, sleepyhead, we should get going before anyone notices you're here," he whispered into her ear.

Sophie groaned, her eyes fluttering open. She blinked up at him, a sleepy smile gracing her lips. "What time is it?"

Keefe glanced at the clock on his nightstand. "It's early," he assured her.

Sophie sat up, rubbing the sleep from her eyes. "I wanna sleep," .

Keefe chuckled, brushing a stray lock of hair from her face. "Unfortunately, your amazing boyfriend made plans" he said, leaning in toward her.

But she playfully swatted him away. "Keefe," she whispered, her voice still groggy with sleep. "No kisses with morning breath."

Keefe rolled his eyes, but couldn't help the smile that tugged at his lips. He leaned over and kissed her forehead instead. "Fine," he said, standing up and stretching. I have a spare toothbrush so we can fix that problem."

Sophie nodded, still not fully awake. "Okay, but only if you have mint toothpaste."

Keefe chuckled, leaving the bed and heading to the bathroom. "Of course," he called over his shoulder. "Only the best for my girl."

As he brushed his teeth and splashed water on his face, he couldn't shake the feeling of excitement that bubbled in his chest. He had never felt like this before—like he had something to lose, something precious and fragile. He had always been the carefree one, the charmer who flitted from one fling to the next without a second thought. But with Sophie, it was different. He had promised her secrecy, and he meant it. He didn't want to hurt her, and he certainly didn't want their relationship to become fodder for the gossip mill.

When he emerged from the bathroom, she was still in his sweatshirt but looked somehow more put together.

" Soo," Keefe smirked as he sauntered over to her, " can I kiss you now?"

Sophie looked up at him with a mischievous twinkle in her eye. Without a word, she reached up and grabbed the collar of his sweatshirt, pulling him down to her level. Her lips met his in a soft, but passionate kiss. He seriously loves this girl and it's only been a week.

But the door slammed open, interrupting their moment. Fitz stumbled into the room, half asleep and half surprised. His eyes went wide when he saw them, and Keefe and Sophie quickly sprang apart.

"Whoa, what's going on here?" Fitz asked, rubbing his eyes.

Keefe felt his cheeks heat up, but he couldn't help the proud grin that spread across his face. "Sophie's my girlfriend,"

Fitz stared at them for a moment, his mouth agape. Then, a wide smile broke out on his face. "Finally," He exclaimed, slapping Keefe on the back. I don't think they would break up their friendship over a girl

Sophie's cheeks flushed a deeper shade of pink, but she couldn't help the smile that spread across her face. "We're keeping it a secret from the public for now though," she told Fitz.

Fitz nodded, his eyes twinkling with mischief. "Your secret's safe with me," he said, winking at them both. "But I'm guessing you don't want me to tell anyone else, right?"

"Right, we will tell the friend group our selves but that's about it. Night now me and Fister are heading out." Keefe said, his voice a little too eager. He didn't want to jinx it by saying too much.

Fitz nodded with a knowing smile, "I won't say a word," He whispered, before walking out of the room and closing the door behind him with a gentle click.

Sophie looked up at Keefe with a nervous smile. "Well, that was unexpected," she murmured.

Keefe laughed, the sound echoing in the quiet room. "Yeah, but he's cool. He won't say anything." He took her hand in his, intertwining their fingers. "Now, let's get out of here before anyone else wakes up."

They snuck out of his dorm and into the hallway, the early morning light filtering through the windows. Keefe had a mischievous glint in his eye as he led her through the quiet corridors of Foxfire. "I know the perfect place to go," he whispered, his voice filled with excitement.

They arrived at a quaint little café nestled in the heart of the city, its walls adorned with whimsical murals of puppies playing. The smell of fresh coffee and baked goods filled the air, mingling with the comforting scent of puppy breath. "Welcome to Puppy Paws Café," Keefe announced with a flourish, holding the door open for her. If he wanted to he would

Inside, the café was a flurry of activity as tiny puppies of various breeds and sizes frolicked among the cafe, the sound of their playful yips and paws scurrying across the floor was music to their ears.

"Keefe, this place is amazing!" Sophie exclaimed, her eyes lighting up with joy as a golden retriever pup bounded over to them, tail wagging furiously. Keefe grinned at her reaction, watching as she dropped to her knees to greet the pup.

As she played with the energetic bundle of fur, Keefe couldn't help but think to himself how beautiful she looked in the soft light of the café. Her blonde hair, usually so neatly styled, had fallen into gentle waves around her face, giving her a natural, carefree look that made his heart race. The gold in her eyes were especially shining. Her laughter was like a melody that could soothe any pain he had ever felt, it made him realize just how much he wanted to be the one to make her smile like that every day.

They ordered their breakfast, a shared platter of pancakes with a variety of toppings, and a pot of tea. As they waited for their food, they couldn't help but sneak glances at each other across the table, the air thick with unspoken words and unexplored feelings.

Just as the waitress set their food down, a little girl with bright eyes and pigtails approached their table, her mother trailing a few steps behind her. "Excuse me," she said shyly, her voice barely above a whisper. "Are you Keefe Sencen?"

Keefe looked up from his pancakes, a spoonful of whipped cream hovering in mid-air. "The one and only," he said with a wink.

The little girl's eyes lit up with excitement. "You're my favorite model/actor," she exclaimed, her voice barely above a whisper. "Can I have a photo?"

Keefe, ever the charmer, didn't miss a beat. He set down his spoon and leaned closer to her. "But of course, little miss, I'd be honored " he said, his smile genuine. He picked up the pup that had been frolicking at their feet and held it up for the camera.

The little girl giggled, her eyes sparkling with excitement as she held up her phone for the picture. "Thank you, Mr. Sencen," she said, her voice filled with awe.

As she scampered off, her mother offered a warm smile. "Thank you," she said, before following her daughter out of the café.

Sophie looked up at Keefe, her eyes filled with admiration. "You're really good with kids," she said softly.

Keefe shrugged, taking a bite of his pancake. "I think you've got a thing for guys who know how to handle the little gremlins," he teased, his eyes twinkling with mischief.

Sophie rolled her eyes but couldn't help the smile that played on her lips. "That sounds about right." she laughed, popping a strawberry into her mouth.

They spent the morning at the café, laughing and sharing stories as they played with the puppies. Keefe talked about his childhood, sharing memories of his mother that weren't tainted by sadness, and Sophie felt her heart swell with affection for him. He had a way of making even the most mundane moments feel magical, and she found herself lost in his stories, the warmth of the café enveloping them in a cocoon of happiness.
