Chapter 4
Twelve years had passed since Sabreen's goodbye with Arham, and her life had flourished. She had grown into a confident young woman, unapologetically herself. Sabreen's academic journey had been successful, completing primary and secondary school with flying colors. She aced her JAMB, WAEC, and NECO exams, earning admission to Baze University in Abuja, where she studied microbiology. With her best friends, Umaimah, Ramlah, and Waleedah, by her side, university life wasn't stressful.
Sabreen had blossomed into a stunning young woman with a fair skin complexion, captivating deer eyes in the lightest shade of brown, pink lips, and two dimples that appeared when she spoke or smiled. Yet, a lingering thought still bothered her - Arham. He had failed to fulfill his promises, and they lost contact after he left for the UK. She wondered if he had forgotten her or if his promises were mere lies. Perhaps he faced challenges in his new life.
Despite the uncertainty, Sabreen didn't lose hope. She kept her promise to him, taking care of herself and living life to the fullest. She never forgot Arham, trusting that Allah was the best of planners. Every experience, success, and failure had shaped her into the woman she was today. Sabreen was grateful to Allah, her creator, and believed that He had kept her alive for a reason. With faith, she would persevere, knowing that every hardship hid a blessing within.
