Love Beyond Death

The scene shows a palace where a lady is scolding a 17-year-old boy.

"Weiying, what have you done? Are you a child? Every day, there are new complaints about you. You are already 17 years old!"

Weiying remains completely silent and then slowly says, "Mother, I get really bored. You don't even let me go anywhere. Brother goes wherever he wants."

"Is that why you do all this? He is sensible, and he doesn't cause trouble like you!"

Weiying falls silent and walks away, feeling sad. His mother, seeing him leave, gets angrier and says, "I am not done talking!"

"Yu always let him be! He's just a kid!" Master Jiang said

"He's a kid, and by doing childish things, look how spoiled he's become! You know why I don't let him go out, but still, you're supporting him!"
"I know, but if we keep him tied down, he will insist on leaving even more."

"So what should I do? Let him go there, even if he might die?"

"You cannot stop the prophecy; he will meet it no matter what."

"I will do whatever I have to, but you will not let him go anywhere!" she says and then walks away.

Hearing this, Master Jiang shakes his head in worry because he knows his wife is very possessive of their son.

The day passed like this, and throughout the entire day, Weiying neither stepped out of his room nor talked to anyone. No one had even seen him, which caused Madam Yu to worry a lot. So, she goes to his room, knocks, and says, "Weiying, my son, I'm sorry. From now on, I won't get angry at you." But no sound comes from inside.

Madam Yu assumes he must have fallen asleep, so she leaves because Weiying always did this.

The next day, Madam Yu is the first to go to Weiying's room. She tries to open the door, but it won’t budge, causing her to get a bit anxious. Using her powers, she breaks the door down, but there’s nothing to see. She looks all around the room for Weiying but doesn't find him anywhere. Then, she notices a letter lying there.
