Suddenly, Wangji’s eyes open, and he sees Weiying very close to him. Seeing this, he is shocked and starts staring at him. Weiying, who was watching him, immediately moves a little away from Wangji and says, "I was just checking if you had fallen asleep."

Wangji doesn’t say anything and starts to get up and leave.
Weiying asks, "Where are you going?"
"I’ve been going to another room to sleep."
Weiying hears this but doesn’t like the fact that Wangji is going to sleep somewhere else.
Wangji leaves and goes to his other room, where there is a small bed. He lies down and closes his eyes.
On the other hand, Weiying lies down on Wangji’s bed, but he can’t fall asleep. He was only thinking about Wangji—his eyes, his face, his lips. Thinking about his lips, Weiying blushes and, hiding his face in the pillow, whispers to himself, "Weiying, what are you thinking?"
Morning arrives, and Weiying is still asleep. After some time, he hears the voices of a few servants trying to wake him up. Weiying suddenly opens his eyes and sees that it’s just him and two servants in the room. He asks, "What time is it?"
"Master, it’s 10:00 now."
"It’s not that late; I’ll sleep for a little longer."
"Master Lan is calling for you. He’s very angry and wants to see you immediately."
"Who is this?"
"He is the elder master. His word is respected throughout the entire clan."
Hearing this, Weiying becomes very nervous, thinking that Wangji might have told everyone the truth about him. But gathering courage, he replies, "You go, I’ll come."
The two servants leave, and Weiying gets ready.
After some time, Weiying, now prepared, goes to Master Lan. Master Lan is in the library, working. He looks up at Weiying and says, "So, you are the one Wangji brought here."
Weiying nods.
"You’re here; I need to talk to you."
Weiying slowly walks over to Master Lan.
Master Lan asks, "So, you don’t have a home?"
Weiying nods and says, "I’m a wanderer. I stay wherever I find a place. I don’t have a home."
Uncle nods and says, "But in our clan, no one can stay here without doing something. You will either need to work or study, and you must follow all the rules of this place."
Hearing Master Lan’s words, Weiying becomes worried because he has never followed rules before, but he reluctantly agrees.
Then Master Lan says, "You must be around 17 or 18 years old, so you’ll also need to receive education in our clan."
Weiying nods in agreement.
Master Lan goes on to explain a few more rules to Weiying and then tells him to leave.
Weiying also leaves, but as he is walking away, he hears some music playing. Because of this, his snake form starts to activate, and he slowly begins moving towards the source of the music.
