Becky POV

After Freen left, I got busy again because so many customers were coming in. A little later, I have another meeting with Jane. I haven't told Freen yet that our business is going ahead because I don't want her to get upset, especially now that things are going well between us. I'll tell her once our business is settled; I don't like lying to her either.

Jane has arrived with her lawyer because we're about to sign the contract.

Becky: Jane, here's the contract. I've already signed it. If you need more time to read through it, that's fine with me.

Jane: No need, Becky. I trust you. I also want our business to get up and running as soon as possible." Jane then signed the contract.

Becky: "Thank you for the trust, Jane. You can count on our business being happy and successful."

They shook hands, and Jane left as she had other things to attend to.

It was already 7 PM, and Becky closed the shop. Earlier, Freen texted her, saying she was already home. Becky wanted to sleep at Freen’s condo, but she has to leave early tomorrow to visit the location where she and Jane will be setting  up their business.

When I got home, I immediately called Freen.

Becky: Hi, baby, I'm home. Have you eaten?

Freen: I'm glad you got home safely, and yes, I already ate from the takeout I got earlier. Why didn't you just sleep here, baby? I miss you." Freen said with a sad tone.

Becky: I have something to take care of tomorrow, baby. But don’t worry, I’ll sleep over tomorrow night, okay?

Freen: Really?

Becky: Yes, so don't be sad. Tomorrow, you won’t be able to sleep because of me, HAHAHA

They talked for two more hours before Becky started feeling sleepy.

Becky: Baby, let's sleep now. I'm getting sleepy, and I have to wake up early tomorrow.

Freen: Okay, baby. I love you very much, goodnight.

Becky: Goodnight, my baby, I love you too so much.

Freen Pov

After 2 Weeks

I'm at a mall to buy a dress for Beckys birthday dinner next week. I sat down for a moment because I was feeling dizzy. To be honest, I've been feeling this way since last week. I feel dizzy and nauseous in the mornings.

Sales lady: Ma'am, are you okay? Here's some water, ma'am. You look a bit pale.

I took the water and thanked her.

I took out my phone to call Nam because I didn’t think I could drive.

Freen: Hello, Nam? Are you busy?

Nam: Hello, Freen. Are you okay? Why did you call?

Freen: I suddenly felt dizzy, and I can't drive. Can you come get me? I'm at the mall near your place.

Nam: Of course, just wait there. I'll be right over.

She hung up the phone and finished her water.

When Nam arrived, she immediately asked Freen if she needed to go to the hospital.

Nam: What happened, Freen? Are you okay? You look so pale.

Freen: I've been like this for two weeks now. I don't know why, and I didn't want to tell Becky because she’ll just worry.

Nam: You should tell Becky. She’ll be even more worried if something bad happens to you. What exactly are you feeling?

I told her about everything I’ve been experiencing.

Nam: Could you be pregnant, Freen?

As soon as Nam said the word "pregnant," it felt like my world stopped. I didn’t know whether to be happy or cry. What if I am pregnant? Would Becky accept it? We haven’t even talked about this yet, and I’m scared.

Before Nam took me home, we stopped by a pharmacy so I could buy a pregnancy test.

When I got home, Nam left but reminded me to let her know the result.

I immediately took the test in the bathroom. While waiting, I couldn’t help but think about what might happen between Becky and me. Will she be happy? Will she want to marry me? So many questions were running through my mind, and I didn’t have any answers.

After three minutes, I checked the result. Two lines appeared, meaning I’m pregnant. Tears welled up in my eyes as I saw it. I repeated the test two more times, and all of them came back positive.

I was startled by a knock on the bathroom door—it was Becky.
