Freen POV

"I don’t even know when I ran outside the gate. All I could feel was pain. I wanted to go home to my mom because she’s the only one who could ease what I was feeling. Becky followed me, but I didn’t care because she betrayed me. I loved her completely, yet she still cheated on me, and with her ex.

Becky: 'Freen, I’m begging you, come back. The baby might be in danger!' she cried out while chasing me.

Freen: 'Leave me alone, Becky! You lied to me! How could you do this to me?!'

Becky: 'Please, let me explain, Freen, please.'

She caught up to me and hugged me from behind.

Becky: 'Baby, please, give me a chance to explain. I could never hurt you,' I cried as I tried to explain.

Freen: 'Let go of me, Rebecca! Don’t fucking touch me! You disgust me! You got me pregnant, and now you’ve gotten someone else pregnant too! You’re disgusting!'

She moved in front of me and knelt down.

Becky: 'Please, Freen, listen to me. I could never hurt you. Please.'

Freen: I don’t want to see you anymore, Becky. I’ll raise my child on my own!

Becky: Please don’t say that, Freen. I’ll fix this, please.

Freen: "There’s nothing left to fix because you’ve already destroyed everything between us the moment you hid from me that you got someone else pregnant! I loved you, Becky! Don’t worry, when our child looks for you, I’ll introduce you.

Becky: Freen, please don’t do this," she begged, crying.

I felt pity for her, but the pain was stronger. Suddenly, I heard someone shout, and when I looked, it was Irin.

Irin: Becky? Freen? What’s going on? Why are you out here in this heat?

Freen: "Irin, can you give me a ride?" I asked her.

Irin: A ride? Where? What happened?

Freen: "I’ll tell you later, please, Irin, just get me away from this liar," I pleaded with her.

She looked at Becky, and Becky nodded. Before I left, Becky spoke.

Becky: "I will fix all of this, Freen. I won’t let you and our child slip away from me.

I didn’t say anything and got into the car.

I stayed quiet the entire ride until we arrived at my mom's house. Irin didn’t push me to talk either.

Freen: 'Thank you so much, Irin. Sorry for the trouble.'

Irin: 'What are you talking about, Freen? You’re like family to me. Call me if you need anything, okay? I’ll head back now.'

Freen: 'Thank you so much. Uh, Irin? Could you not tell Becky that I’m here?'

Irin: 'Okay, Freen. Just take care of yourself and your baby, please. No matter what happened between you and Becky, things will be okay.'

Freen: 'Thank you, Irin. Uh, Irin, could you check on Becky for me?'

Irin: 'Of course, I’ll take care of it. I’ll head out now since it’s getting late. You should go inside.'

After Irin left, I knocked on the door, and my mom quickly opened it.

Nun: 'Oh, Freen, why are you here? Who are you with? Have you been crying?'

Freen: 'Mama…' I couldn’t even say what I wanted to because I just hugged her tightly and cried.

Nun: 'Freen, what happened? Why did you come home so suddenly? Where’s Becky?'

I didn’t know how to answer her because I didn’t even know the answer myself.

Once I had calmed down a bit, my mom let me rest in my old room.

Nun: 'Freen, rest for now. I’ll prepare something to eat since it’s late and it looks like you haven’t eaten yet.'

I just nodded, and my mom left the room.

I cried again because the pain and weight of my feelings were overwhelming.

When the food was ready, my mom brought it to my room.

Nun: 'Freen, here, eat this.'

Freen: 'I don’t have an appetite, Mom.'

Nun: 'You need to eat, Freen. It’s bad for the baby if you don’t.'

Hearing that made me cry again, and I realized I needed to be strong for my baby. So, I ate, and when I was done, my mom took my plate.

At 9 pm, Mom came back and brought me some milk.

Nun: 'Freen, drink this so you can fall asleep quickly. I know you’re tired.'

Freen: 'Thank you, Mom.'

I could see that she was also sad and worried about me.

Nun: 'I’m going to go out now. You should sleep, okay?' She kissed my forehead.

After Mom left, I took my phone and saw a lot of missed calls and texts from Becky.
