Becky Pov

Freen is now sleeping, but I’ve noticed the bags under her eyes, her body seems to be gaining weight. I can’t sleep because something happened that shouldn’t have. It wasn’t my fault because Jane was the one who kissed me first.

Flashback

Jane: Becky, let’s have a drink! This is a business party, why are you so down? she asked.

Becky: You guys go ahead and drink. I can’t because I still have to drive.

Jane: Come on, Becky, just one shot, she pleaded.

Becky: Fine, just one since I still have to drive.

I downed the shot quickly so I could leave soon.

Jane: See? I told you.

Becky: I’m heading home it’s getting late.

Jane: It’s still early, and you live close by.

Becky: I have to go. I have somewhere else to be.

Suddenly, Jane grabbed me and pulled me close. She was staring at my lips, and before I knew it, she kissed me. The others started cheering because they were drunk. I gently pushed Jane away so she wouldn’t get embarrassed. I was furious, so I pulled her outside the bar.

Becky: Jane, how many times do I have to tell you not to do that? I told you, I love someone else!

Jane: What does she have that I don’t, Becky? I’m right here, why won’t you choose me?

Becky: Shut up, Jane! I’ve told you before, I only see you as a friend!

I didn’t wait for her to respond and just left. I stopped by the shop because I planned to see Freen. I missed her, and I knew I was in the wrong too. After cooking her some food, I went to her condo. No one was there, so I called Nam to ask where Freen was, and Nam said she was probably still at the office. That’s when I decided to go pick her up.

Present

I woke up early to cook for Freen, wanting to make it up to her. I also planned to tell her what happened because I don’t want to keep any secrets from her. I wasn’t sure how she’d react, but I knew I had to say it. Tomorrow is my birthday, and I plan for us to have dinner with Irin and Nam, since I don’t have any family left.

I got up and made her favorite breakfast , bacon and pancakes. I also prepared her coffee.

I went to her bed and covered her face with kisses.

Becky: Baby, wake up, I made your favorite breakfast.

Freen: Hmmm, 10 more minutes.

Becky: No, get up your ass now! Your coffee’s going to get cold.I tickled her until she was fully awake.

Freen: It’s still so early, baby. Why won’t you let me sleep? she said sleepily.

Becky: I already made breakfast, and I have something to tell you.

Suddenly, Freen opened her eyes and looked at me.

Freen: I have something to tell you too.

We were eating when I asked her what she wanted to tell me.

Becky: Baby, what is it you wanted to say?

Freen: Didn’t you have something to say too?

Becky: You go first.

She nodded, got up, and went to the room, seemingly to get something. She came back quickly and sat down again.

Freen: I don’t know how to tell you this, but... I’m pregnant. She placed three positive pregnancy tests on the table.

I was speechless, my eyes widening in shock.
