Ch 14

I was nervous, today was the beginning of my college life. A step towards my dream. I was nervous yet excited. All credit goes to Rocky.

When I got married to him, I was scared, he is literally the Don of Bombay, when Rocky came to Shetty's office that day i saw fear on  Shetty's face and the men who were present there, by then i was sure Rocky wasn't just a gangster he's terror. He told me little things about him, but those things were considered as the most important things for a married life. He never spoke  about his mother.

Shanthiamma Baba told me she was the prettiest girl in our village , she got married as same as my age. He also told me Rocky was closest to her heart. But rocky never shared about his childhood, his hatred towards his father, not even a portrait of his mother was in the house. Shrugging away the thoughts i looked myself in the mirror. Blue kurta, silver jhumkas, my hairs in the clip, and few strands on my face. Also my bindi and Kajal. I looked decent

I glanced at the clock 8:30 my college starts from 10 a.m, but due to excitement I got up early,took a bath, cleaned the house, made breakfast, and also kept my books.

Rocky was still asleep. I went to the corner kitchen to make myself a cup of tea and also thought to have the breakfast in the mean time Rocky wakes up. I am so fortunate as I got chance to study further.

It was 9 when I heard Rocky groaning from the room, he was awake. Rocky came out of the bedroom  and both of us had a millisecond eye contact

'Why are you ready this early? Are we going somewhere' Rocky asked yawning he wasn't fully awake

I crossed my arms and stood infront of him.

'Oh shit,  isn't your first day at college! , how could I even forget that, I am so sorry chinna. Give me 2 mins just 2 mins'  he said running to the washroom. I gasped at the way he called me chinna. Don't know what's going on in his mind.

As we were going to the college. Rocky stopped his bike all of a sudden.

'Stay here I will be right back' He said and got lost in the crowd. 

Bombay indeed was a big city bigger than my imagination. After waiting for a few mins. Rocky appeared but he had a package.

He took out a ladies chain watch, he took my hand got off the green bangles As his skin touched mine, my heart pumped faster, I lowered my eyes, i just couldn't hear anything, nor the horns,the people shouting nothing, if time stopped here. I don't I felt shy all of a sudden.

The sound made me come out of mine trance As he made me wear the watch and also took off the bangles of my other hand,

'Here's a gift Miss lawyer, study hard'
He smiled softly. And i returned him a cheeky smile And again started his bike.

As we reach the college, he dropped me at the main gate. I turned to him
He nodded. As I entered my college.

Hours went by, one by one all the lectures were over. I was relieved finally I could go home.  The college campus was huge enough, our college was situated near the High Court. I saw many lawyers today.

When I walked out of the college gate I saw Raju, I went near him.

'Raju why are you here?' I asked

'Bhabhi I am here since 11o'clock, actually bhai told me to stand here until your college gets over. Let's go' Raju said and dropped me home.

As I entered the house I was engulfed in warmness of the home even though i was out for hours but still it felt like decades. I freshened up and saw my bangles on the dressing table, I smiled.
