∘❀∘Next day in the afternoon, the teacher gathered everyone and announced the second task. "In this forest, there are 100 flags planted. Whoever collects the most flags within 2 hours will win a prize and be exempt from dinner duties tonight. However, the last team to finish will be penalized with cleaning duties."
The students cheered and began to strategize. Then, the teacher announced the winner of the tent-building task: Heeseung and Jaeyun.
As the winners, they received a 30-minute head start for the flag collection task. Heeseung grinned at Jaeyun, who looked surprised but pleased.
"Let's go, Jaeyun! We can do this!" Heeseung exclaimed, already planning their approach.
Jaeyun nodded, and they set off together, determined to win the task and enjoy their reward.
Heeseung and Jaeyun ventured deeper into the forest, searching for more flags. But as they walked, they couldn't find any. Suddenly, Jaeyun spotted a flag planted on top of a tree. He tried to jump to reach it, but failed.
Heeseung chuckled at Jaeyun's cute attempt and then had an idea. He walked behind Jaeyun and gently lifted him up by the waist, allowing Jaeyun to reach the flag.
Jaeyun flinched and blushed, "W-what are you doing?!" he exclaimed.
Heeseung replied, "Just helping you... now please grab the flag with your hand."
Jaeyun took the flag and then Heeseung lowered him down. Jaeyun's blush deepened, and Heeseung thought, "Cute."
As they continued their search for flags, Jaeyun couldn't help but steal glances at Heeseung. He didn't understand why he felt so secure and soft around Heeseung. But he pushed the thoughts aside and focused on the task at hand.
Heeseung, on the other hand, was happy to be working together with Jaeyun. He enjoyed their teamwork and banter. And as they walked, he found himself wanting to be closer to Jaeyun, to protect him and make him smile.
Their feelings were complex, but they didn't have time to analyze them. They had to find more flags and win the task.
Heeseung and Jaeyun had collected 15 flags, but they needed to find more. As they ventured deeper into the forest, Jaeyun started to feel tired, and Heeseung offered him a piggyback ride. Jaeyun hesitated at first, but eventually climbed onto Heeseung's back.
As they walked, Heeseung realized they had gone too far and were lost. He tried to reassure Jaeyun, showing him the map, but Jaeyun started to panic. Heeseung quickly comforted him, saying, "Don't worry, I informed the teacher, and they'll come to rescue us."
Just then, they heard a strange noise from the forest, and Heeseung's face suddenly turned red because Jaeyun hugged him tightly . Jaeyun felt scared, but Heeseung quickly reassured him, "Don't worry, I'll protect you."
Soon, the teacher arrived to rescue them, but unfortunately, Heeseung and Jaeyun were in last place. As a result, they were assigned cleaning duties after dinner.
As they walked back to the campsite, Jaeyun couldn't help but notice Heeseung's strange behavior earlier. He seemed to be blushing, and Jaeyun wondered what had caused it. But he pushed the thought aside, focusing on the task ahead.
Heeseung, on the other hand, was still feeling a mix of emotions. He had enjoyed carrying Jaeyun on his back and felt a sense of protectiveness towards him. But he didn't understand why he had blushed earlier. He shook off the feeling, focusing on the cleaning duties ahead.
