∘❀∘Before they knew it, their last year exams were over, and now they were just waiting for the results. Meanwhile, Jaeyun, who couldn't handle alcohol that well, got dead drunk and went to Sunghoon's place, literally whining about how Heeseung was ignoring him these days.
"And then, you won't believe it, we went from being jobless to being in a relationship, he used to bring me flowers every day, but now he doesn't even look at me properly," he whined drunkenly.
"Do you think he's getting bored of this relationship and wants to break up?" Jaeyun asked Sunghoon fearfully, his eyes welling up with tears.
Sunghoon listened patiently, trying not to laugh at Jaeyun's drunken state. "Jaeyun-ah, you're overthinking things. Heeseung loves you, and maybe he's just busy with work and family stuff, that's all."
But Jaeyun shook his head, his voice slurring. "No, no, I know him, he's changed, he doesn't care about me like he used to."
Sunghoon sighed, trying to calm Jaeyun down. "Jaeyun, trust me, Heeseung adores you. He's just stressed with his internship and family responsibilities."
Jaeyun's words struck a chord, making Sunghoon wonder if there was some truth to Jaeyun's fears.
Just then, Jaeyun's head drooped, and he passed out from drinking too much. Sunghoon sighed and dialed Heeseung's number.
Heeseung answered, sounding sleepy, and Sunghoon told him that Jaeyun had passed out from drinking too much and that his lazy ass should come and take care of him.
Heeseung immediately got up and rushed over.
Heeseung arrived at Sunghoon's place, looking worried, and rushed to Jaeyun's side.
"Jaeyun-ah, what's wrong with you? Why did you drink so much?" Heeseung asked, shaking Jaeyun awake.
Jaeyun groggily opened his eyes, seeing Heeseung's concerned face, and smiled weakly.
Heeseung helped Jaeyun up, holding him close, and asked Sunghoon to help him get Jaeyun home.
As they left, Sunghoon couldn't help but smile at the sight of the two, Heeseung caring for Jaeyun like a mother hen.
Upon reaching home, Heeseung slowly laid Jaeyun down on the bed.
As he was about to turn off the light, Jaeyun grabbed Heeseung's hand, still drunk.
"Please don't go... I know I might be dreaming of you, but still, please don't go... I don't like it when you ignore me, Heeseung... please," Jaeyun choked on his own tears, he then started to sobbing drunkenly.
Heeseung felt bad, seeing Jaeyun so vulnerable.
"Shh, baby, I'm here," Heeseung whispered, leaning down to kiss Jaeyun's forehead and lips.
"Wait for a few days, baby, then you'll get my surprise, and you won't have any more insecurities," Heeseung promised.
Jaeyun's eyes sparkled with hope, even in his drunken state.
Heeseung's words soothed his heart, and he smiled weakly.
"Really?" Jaeyun asked, his voice barely above a whisper.
"Really," Heeseung replied, smiling.
Heeseung tucked Jaeyun in, making sure he was comfortable, and sat beside him, watching him sleep.
Heeseung's heart swelled with love, seeing Jaeyun so vulnerable.
"I love you, Jaeyun," Heeseung whispered.
Jaeyun mumbled something incoherent, still drunk.
Heeseung chuckled and held Jaeyun's hand.
"I know you're drunk, and you'll forget everything in the morning when you'll be sober, but still I love you my dear," Heeseung said.
Jaeyun smiled in his sleep, his face peaceful.
Heeseung knew he had to make it up to Jaeyun, to show him how much he cared.
The surprise he had planned would surely make Jaeyun's heart skip a beat.
As Heeseung watched Jaeyun sleep, he couldn't help but feel grateful for their love.
Their relationship had its ups and downs, but their love remained strong.
Heeseung leaned down and kissed Jaeyun's lips, his heart overflowing with love.
"I'll always be here for you, Jaeyun," Heeseung whispered.
And as Jaeyun slept, surrounded by Heeseung's love, he knew he was exactly where he belonged.
