∘❀∘It started pouring outside, the rain coming down in sheets. Heeseung had just taken a shower and was about to enter the bedroom when the doorbell rang, shattering the silence. He looked at the clock and saw it was 1:30 AM. "Who could it be at this hour?" Heeseung wondered, his mind racing with possibilities.
He hesitated for a moment, wondering if he should answer it, but his curiosity got the better of him. He made his way to the door, peering through the peephole to see who was on the other side.
Then, he opened the door and saw something he didn't expect. He saw Jaeyun standing there, looking broken and drenched. His eyes were red, as if he had been crying, and his clothes were soaked through. Heeseung's heart skipped a beat as he took in the sight of his lover, standing on his porch in the middle of the night.
Heeseung didn't say a word. He simply pulled Jaeyun into the house, wrapping his arms around him in a tight embrace. Jaeyun didn't resist, instead, he collapsed into Heeseung's arms, letting out a sob.
Heeseung held him close, feeling Jaeyun's warmth and his tears. He didn't need to ask what was wrong; he knew. it was related to Jaeyun's mother, and it had ended badly. Heeseung's heart ached for his lover, and he knew he had to be strong for him now.
Without a word, Heeseung led Jaeyun to the living room. He held him close, letting Jaeyun cry out his pain, and whispering softly into his ear, "You're safe now, my love. You're safe with me."
Then, Heeseung went to get dried clothes and a towel for Jaeyun, asking him to change out of his soaked garments. But Jaeyun just sat there, lifeless, unable to muster the energy to move. So, Heeseung did everything for him, gently peeling off Jaeyun's wet clothes, and wrapping him in a warm towel.
Heeseung then led Jaeyun to the couch, settling him into the soft cushions. He arranged for warm tea, brewing a soothing blend to calm Jaeyun's nerves. As the tea steeped, Heeseung sat beside Jaeyun, his eyes filled with concern.
"Tell me what happened," Heeseung asked, his voice soft and gentle. "What did your mother say? What did she do?"
Jaeyun looked up at Heeseung, his eyes red-rimmed from crying. He opened his mouth to speak, but no words came out. Heeseung took Jaeyun's hand in his, offering comfort and support.
"It's okay, my love," Heeseung whispered. "You don't have to say anything. Just being here with me is enough."
But Jaeyun shook his head, needing to let it all out. He took a deep breath and began to speak, his voice cracking with emotion. Jaeyun told Heeseung everything, holding back tears as he recounted the painful confrontation with his mother. Heeseung listened attentively, his expression a mix of empathy and outrage.
After Jaeyun finished speaking, Heeseung hugged him tightly, whispering sweet words of comfort in his ear. "You're safe now, my love. You're with me, and I'll never let anyone hurt you again."
Jaeyun seemed to relax in Heeseung's arms, his tense body slowly releasing its burden. But then Heeseung said the words that broke Jaeyun's dam: "I'll always be by your side, Jaeyun. I'll never leave you."
Jaeyun couldn't hold back his tears anymore. He burst into sobs, clinging to Heeseung as if he was his lifeline. Heeseung stroked Jaeyun's hair, trying to comfort him, his own eyes welling up with tears.
"I'm here for you, Jaeyun," Heeseung whispered. "I'll always be here to catch you when you fall. You're not alone anymore."
As Jaeyun cried, Heeseung held him close, absorbing his pain and offering his own strength. He rocked Jaeyun gently, whispering words of love and reassurance, until Jaeyun's sobs slowly subsided, leaving behind a fragile calm.
After a while, Heeseung saw that Jaeyun had fallen asleep, exhausted from the emotional turmoil. Heeseung's heart swelled with love and compassion as he gazed at Jaeyun's peaceful face. He gently lifted Jaeyun, cradling him in his arms, and laid him down on the bed, making sure he was comfortable.
Heeseung then crawled into bed beside Jaeyun, wrapping his arms around him, and pulling him close. He held Jaeyun tightly, feeling his warmth, and listening to his gentle breathing. Heeseung's eyes fluttered closed as he basked in the comfort of their embrace.
As they cuddled, Heeseung whispered soft words of love and reassurance, even though Jaeyun was asleep. He wanted Jaeyun to know that he was safe, loved, and cherished. Heeseung's heart beat in sync with Jaeyun's, their love a palpable force that filled the room.
In that moment, Heeseung knew that he would do anything to protect Jaeyun, to make him happy, and to be his rock in times of need. He felt grateful for the love they shared, and he knew that their bond would only grow stronger with time. As they slept, wrapped in each other's arms, Heeseung smiled, knowing that Jaeyun was home, and that he would never let him go.
