Felix leaned against the wall, arms crossed, his expression a mixture of frustration and disbelief. "She can't be trusted, Locus," he said, his voice low and intense. "She's still undecided. One minute she's with us, and the next, she's back in that cell, playing the victim. We can't risk everything on someone who can't make up her mind."

Locus shot him a sharp look, his patience wearing thin. "You think I don't know that? But we made a promise to her. We can't just abandon her now, not when she's been through so much."

Felix scoffed. "Promises don't mean shit in this line of work. She's a liability, and we can't afford to have her second-guessing us when we're about to set off a planet-killer."

Locus's jaw tightened. "You think I want to put her in danger? She's been through hell, Felix. If we don't bring her back into the fold, we risk losing her to Charon if they discover her.

Felix interrupted, his voice rising. "Then we need to move fast. We can't wait for her to decide which side she's on. We have a mission to complete, and we need to do it without her dragging us down."

The cold metal walls of the cell felt all too familiar to Lyra as she sat on the hard bunk, her mind a whirlwind of conflicting emotions. She was back where she started, in the same cell at Charon base that had once been her prison. The irony wasn't lost on her - she had come full circle, but this time by choice.

Lyra's thoughts raced as she replayed the events that led her here. She had chosen to leave with Locus and Felix, believing they were her path to understanding her past and taking down Charon. But now, she was back in her cell, feeling more trapped than ever.

With a deep breath, she reached for the data pad Felix had given her, the one filled with the horrifying details of the Chimera Project. She activated it, the screen illuminating her face in the dim light. As she scrolled through the files, the reality of her situation began to sink in.

The Chimera Project had turned children into weapons, using them for experiments that stripped away their humanity. Lyra's heart raced as she came across her own file, detailing the modifications they had made to her body and mind. Enhanced strength, accelerated healing, and cognitive functions—all achieved through years of pain and suffering.

Suddenly, the door to her cell swung open, and Locus stepped inside, his expression a mix of urgency and concern. "Lyra," he said, his voice low. "We need to talk."

She looked up, her heart pounding. "Talk about what? How you plan to destroy this planet? How you think I'm just going to sit here and let you do it?"

Locus stepped closer, his eyes searching hers. "I know you're scared. But we're not the enemy here. We need to finish what we started, and you're a crucial part of that plan."

Lyra shook her head, her resolve hardening. "You don't get it. I'm not a weapon for you to use. I won't be part of your plan to kill innocent people."

Locus opened his mouth to respond, but before he could, Felix appeared in the doorway, his expression dark. "What's going on in here?" he demanded, his eyes darting between them.

"Lyra's not on board with the mission," Locus replied, his tone steady.

Felix crossed his arms, a smirk playing at the corners of his mouth. "I told you she couldn't be trusted. She's just going to get in the way."

Lyra felt a surge of anger at Felix's words. "You think I'm just going to sit back and let you destroy everything? You're wrong."

Felix stepped closer, his voice low and menacing. "You don't know what you're talking about, Lyra. This isn't just about you. It's about the money. If you can't see that, then maybe you're better off in that cell."
