"Well Vernon, thanks for the offer but I can't accept it."

Vernon clicked his tongue and nodded, "That's okay, I don't need you to accept it. I'm giving it, not offering it."

Seungkwan looked stunned at his words which made Vernon smirk, he loved when he made people speechless. Seungkwan quickly shook his expression away before a forced smile took over , his reaction sending waves of disappointment through Vernon. Maybe he read the boy wrong, maybe he wasn't what he was looking for after all.

"Look sir, it's my job to serve you and the other guests tonight. So it would be helpful if you could let me do my job in peace."

Nope, he definitely didn't read him wrong. Vernon's smile widen as the boy continued to stare him down, clearly not backing down from the contest they seemed to be playing. Vernon liked him, he decided.

"Your something else Seungkwan, but as you wish," Vernon shifted to make a path for Seungkwan, bowing his head down slightly as a show of backing down. He didn't want to keep the boy from the others, no he'd rather observe the boy instead. You can learn much more from watching someone than listening to them, after all actions don't lie. Not as much as words do.
Seungkwan nodded stiffly before he made his way past Vernon, his arms rubbing his chest gently as he stiffly held onto the plate. Vernon didn't miss the spark Seungkwan's touch left on his skin, the buzzing and burning radiating from his chest was harder to ignore than the voice that spoke to him inside his head.

Him, he wanted him.

He couldn't get the boy out of his head. Maybe he wasn't use to someone speaking up against him, or maybe he's never met someone like him but he had to admit he was obsessed. He thought watching the boy serve drinks and offer lifeless chatter to his father's friends would help ease the growing desire he felt towards the boy but it only made it stronger. Vernon didn't like the feeling of longingness, he wasn't suppose to have anything important to him. Important things are distracting, his father always reminded him of that.

Yet he somehow sat in his office chair thinking of the brown haired Beauty. The boy looked younger than his usual type, his brown hair wistfully covered his face when he glared at Vernon. If it was anyone else they would have been dead, no one looks at him like that nor do they speak with such venom towards him. Yet Vernon didn't want to harm this stranger, he wanted to do many things to him but never hurt him. At least not in his usual ways.

Three quick knocks sounded at his door, Vernon quickly scowled before letting out an exhausted groan, "Come in!" God could this day be any longer?

His secretary Jimin quickly made his way into Vernon's office before shutting the door softly behind him. Vernon watched the blonde carefully as he balanced from one foot to the other, clearly anxious from what he was about to say. Vernon felt his own anxiety grow at the thought, just what could be so bad that even Jimin seemed bothered to utter out?

"Sir, you know how you told me to keep an eye on the board members, just to see if they are acting suspicious." Jimin looked away for a moment, his eyes running around Vernon's office anxiously.

"Spit it out Jimin, you know that I don't like my time being wasted, especially on those assholes."

Jimin sighed before nodding, "Well... Mr John has been seen meeting up with our competitor Hong&Co's CEO Joshua Hong on multiple occasions." Vernon didn't even bother reacting, he was never suprised when it came to those snakes.

"And?"

Jimin looked suprised at his reaction, "I'm sorry sir?"

Vernon chuckled deeply before lifting himself of his desk to make his way towards Jimin. "Am I suppose to be suprised? That asshole has been sneaking off from the start, I'm just annoyed that he's doing it publicly. Well I guess he's gotten confident, and I don't like confident snakes, they tend to stick their necks out and bite." Jimin stared blankly at Vernon like he was speaking a different language, was his lack of a reaction really surprising?
