The whole school area is covered by an energy dome of darkness, and majority of the people within the vicinity lost conscious. Y/n and Tenka got hit by the effect but remain conscious, and the former quicly put on his comms.
"Kotori?"
{We're analyzing the situation.} She quickly responded.
{It's wide-area barrier. Its purpose seems to be causing weakness in the human in its range.} Reine chimed in.
"Then, why me and Tenka are not effected?"
{Ironically speaking, Sir, Monster Zero is protecting you like some sort of defense mechanism when it asleep.} Edi replied.
{And as for Tenka, she's an unsealed Spirit with a tremendous amount of Reiryoku that's protecting her.} Reine chimed in.
"Alright..." He nodded in understanding. "How about Shido-senpai and the others?"
Suddenly, all of the PA speakers in the school building glitched before Kurumi's voice came out.
{Y/n-san, can you hear me?} She giggled. {If you have any business with me, please proceed to the roof.}
"Ah, great.." Y/n groaned.
{I think you would prefer to come as soon as possible. Your friends are here too, y'know?}
{Y/N!} Shido shouted.
{TENKA!} Tohka screamed.
The speakers are shut off, and the pair are horrified to hear both Shido's and Tohka's voice of fear. Tenka is enraged when her sister is in danger, and she immediately ignited her Astral Dress and Demon King at hand. She's about to leave, but Y/n quickly grabbed her shoulder to stop her.
"GET OFF!!" Tenka shouted at Y/n.
"Don't charge blindly, Tenka!" He shouted her back. "Remember, Kurumi is holding Tohka hostage. If you're being reckless, Kurumi could kill her on sight."
Tenka flinched in response, and an image of Tohka being dead flashed in her mind. She doesn't want that to happen, so she took a deep breath to calm herself before lowering her weapon down.
"Kotori, where are Yoruka and Okamine?"
{They're on their way to your location.}
"Tell them to stand down. Me and Tenka will handle this by ourselves."
{Are you sure?} Reine inquired.
"Positive."
Y/n and Tenka shared a nod, and they quickly went up the stair to the rooftop. They noticed a large hole by the door lock, but they ignored it and entered the rooftop area.
"Welcome."
Kurumi greeted the pair as she's equipped with her own Astral Dress. Shido and Tohka are nearby in a kneeling position with multiple pale arms like tendrils holding them down while covering their mouths.
Tenka noticed her sister's weak expression, and she tightened her grip on her sword to contain her rage. Y/n is not bothered by the hostage situation as he set his eyes on Kurumi's golden left eye clock in curious manner.
"Say, Kurumi.." Y/n started. "Are you perhaps Yoruka's long lost cousin?"
She gasped in surprise manner before giggling. "Even at a time like this, you can crack a joke?"
"In a time of despair or when you're losing hope, all you need is a little laugh to lightened up the mood."
"Is that so?"
"LET GO OF MY SISTER, YOU BITCH!" Tenka aimed her blade at Kurumi.
"Easy, Tenka!" Y/n scolded her before looking back to Kurumi. "What the hell are you doing?"
