Chapter 6

Chapter 6: The Dinner
Mrs. Potter prepared dinner. When Prince Adam came out to eat, he saw two plates on the table.
"Why are there two plates on the table?" he yelled.
"Adam, if you want to break the curse, you have to earn Rachel's love. Having dinner with Rachel would be a great start," suggested Henry.
"I am not going to have dinner with a thief's daughter!" Prince Adam continued to yell.
"You told me that you will behave yourself!" Henry replied angrily.
"Rachel will never look at me! I am a monster!" Prince Adam shouted.
"It is not your look that is the problem; it is your attitude. You have to make Rachel look past your appearance by showing her respect. You are not a monster; you are just being a jerk," Henry replied.
"I am scared. I do not know how to behave around Rachel," Prince Adam replied sadly.
"Adam, just be nice to her and treat her the way you want to be treated. I do not think you want to be treated badly," Henry suggests.
"I always dependent on my looks to get women to notice me. I have win Rachel over with my personality!" Prince Adam replied angrily.
"It is not going to kill you to behave like a gentleman!" Henry replied angrily.
Rachel was getting ready for dinner. She didn't want to go, but she had to be open-minded. She knew how much this dinner meant to Henry, who wanted her to help his son. Rachel came down for dinner wearing a beautiful pink dress. Prince Adam couldn't believe how beautiful Rachel was. They didn't talk for a while and just sat looking at each other.
Finally, Rachel broke the silence by asking, "What do you want me to call you?"
"You can call me Adam," Prince Adam requested.
Prince Adam was happy that Rachel treated him as an equal. Anyone else would look at him as a monster, but Rachel was not afraid of Prince Adam, even though he looked scary. Rachel could see that there was good in Prince Adam, and she wanted to help him. Prince Adam could see that the servants were happy. Rachel told him that she wanted to see the world and that she was not in a hurry to have children. Prince Adam felt like Rachel was easy to talk to, and she did not judge him.
Prince Adam had never been in love before. Most of the girls he went out with were one-night stands, and he did not care for those girls. However, he did care for Rachel and was in love with her. Prince Adam was scared, but he knew he had to win Rachel's love. He not only wanted to break the curse but also wanted to be happy.
Gaston
Gaston was upset and angry. He couldn't believe that Belle had rejected him. Gaston did not like being rejected. Everyone at the bar was having a great time, but Gaston couldn't enjoy himself. He was too angry. Lefou was worried about Gaston and he was angry with Belle for rejecting him.
"Gaston, you can't let Belle's rejection upset you. There are plenty of girls who would love to go out with you," Lefou encouraged Gaston.
"I don't want another girl. I want Belle!" Gaston yelled so loudly that everyone started looking at him.
"What are you staring at?" Gaston shouted at the onlookers.
"Gaston, take it easy! Is your plan just to sulk? Belle has no interest in you. It's time for you to move on!" LeFou retorted, frustrated.
Gaston felt irritated by his friend's tone. He was about to respond when he noticed a stunning woman entering the bar with Lisa.
"LeFou, do you know who that woman with Lisa is?" Gaston inquired.
Lefou felt pleased to see Gaston eyeing another woman.
"I'm not sure. Why not go introduce yourself to her?" Lefou urged.
"I don't know, Lefou. I'm worried she might turn me down like Belle did," Gaston said with a hint of sadness.
"How can you be so sure? You're the bravest man I know," Lefou countered.
"You're only saying that because you're my friend," Gaston replied.
"You're more than just a friend to me; you're like a brother. Don't let Belle's rejection stop you from pursuing other girls. Go and talk to her!" Lefou replied.
Gaston knew that LeFou was correct. He was determined to approach the beautiful woman, but felt nervous, fearing he might repeat the mistakes he made with Belle.
