Chapter 7: The Date
Gaston walked up to the beautiful woman, hoping that Lisa would not become angry with him for disturbing her girl's night with her friend.
"Hello, ladies, I am sorry I didn't mean to bother you two," Gaston said. "It's fine, Gaston. This is my friend, Jackie Foster," Lisa introduced Gaston to Jackie.
"Hello, my name is Gaston Hatching," Gaston introduced himself.
"It's very nice to meet you," Jackie greeted Gaston.
"How long have you lived here?" Gaston asked.
"I was born here, but moved to go to college. When my mother became sick, I moved back and started going to college here. I've only been back for a year," Jackie replied.
"Are you married?" Gaston inquires.
"No, I'm not. What about you?" Jackie responds.
"No, I haven't found anyone yet, but I'm searching for a wife. Since we don't know each other well, would you like to have dinner with me tomorrow night?" Gaston asks.
"I would love to!" Jackie replies enthusiastically.
"Awesome, I'll see you tomorrow night," Gaston says.
Lisa felt pleased that her plan had succeeded.
"Are you glad you went out with me? You wouldn't have met Gaston otherwise," Lisa asked cheerfully.
"Yes, I'm glad I went out. My mom will be even happier that I have a date. She's already asking when I'm going to get married and give her grandchildren. I don't have anything to wear for my date!" Jackie said anxiously.
"Don't worry, we'll go shopping tomorrow before your date," Lisa reassured her.
"Thank you. You're such a good friend," Jackie responded.
"We're not just friends; we're sisters," Lisa corrected her.
Belle
Belle, Maurice, and Roland found themselves lost in the woods when they heard someone nearby. Belle recognized the person as Andrew Madison.
"What are you guys doing here?" Andrew asked.
"We are lost. What are you doing here?" Belle inquired.
"I was visiting my Uncle Henry," Andrew replied.
"A beast has my sister prisoner in his castle," Belle replied sadly.
"I was traveling and got caught in a storm a couple of days ago. I found a castle where the owner allowed me to take shelter. He provided dinner and a comfortable bed for me. However, the owner never showed his face to me. I didn't think much of it at the time as I was grateful for the shelter. When I took a rose from his garden as a gift for my daughter and the owner appeared, he revealed himself to be a beast. The beast was furious with me for taking the rose and took me to the dungeon," Maurice explained.
"My sister Rachel, my cousin Roland, and I went searching for my father when we noticed his horse returning home without him. We discovered that he was being held captive in a castle by a beast in a dungeon. The beast demanded that Rachel take his place in order for my father to be freed," Belle recounted. "So, the beast was able to speak?" Andrew inquired.
"Yes, he was," Belle confirmed.
"The beast holding Rachel captive is my cousin, Prince Adam. A witch named Rose cursed Adam, transforming him into a beast. I can take you to my Uncle Henry, who can explain everything more clearly," Andrew suggested.
Andrew took Belle, Maurice, and Roland to his Uncle Henry's house. Henry's house was big and very beautiful.
When Henry saw Andrew and the others approaching, he walked out of his house and asked, "What is going on, Andrew?"
Andrew explained, "This is Belle Ross, her father Maurice Ross, and her cousin Roland Ross. Belle told me that Prince Adam has her sister Rachel prisoner."
Henry replied, "Hello, Roland, I am glad to meet some of your family. I am Anne's father."
"Is the beast Anne's brother?" Roland asked.
"Yes, that's correct," Henry answered.
"Why did Rose transform Prince Adam into a beast?" Roland inquired.
"After Adam expelled you and Anne from the castle, Rose came to him disguised as an old woman. She sought refuge from the storm and offered him a rose in exchange for shelter. Adam was disrespectful and refused to let her stay. Rose then revealed her true identity and cursed Adam into a beast for his rudeness. I sought help from another witch named Sabrina, who informed me that the curse could only be lifted if Adam learns to love and receives love in return," Henry clarified.
"Is that why the beast allows Rachel to take my place as his captive?" Maurice questioned.
"Rachel is staying in a comfortable room. Please allow Rachel to help my son. I don't know what to do for him, and Rachel might be the only one who could help him. Rachel has agreed to help my son!" pleaded Henry.
"I will allow my daughter to help your son, but I hope he doesn't hurt my daughter!" Maurice warned Henry.
"My son will not harm your daughter. Rachel and Adam are getting along," Henry assured Maurice.
