Marley was unsure of what she was supposed to do between the hours of 3:00 and 4:00pm. The duration of Lynn's soccer practice wasn't long enough for Marley to go home. So she did what any socially awkward teenager would do, she walked around aimlessly for half an hour.

She sat down near the trees in front of the school before that got boring, and kind of sad.

So, she decided she would go to Lynn's practice and watch until it ended. It was only 20 minutes or so, and she had a somewhat interesting book in her backpack.

She sat on the bleachers, reading, and occasionally looking up to see Lynn in action. At one point, it became more entertaining to watch her instead of reading.

She was so effortlessly good at soccer, at any sport for that matter. It's like she had a 6th sense for the ball, even if it was just practice, she was dominating the field. She could do just about anything; she would swiftly kick it from under her teammates feet, she would rush past them whilst handling the ball, and find the perfect opportunity to score.

Marley's never had an interest for anything athletic, she hates P.E. and she typically avoids watching sports games. Except for when it's Lynn, Marley realized that the only games she had attended at her high school seemed to be the ones Lynn was playing.

Now, whether this is a coincidence or not, she has no idea. Anyway, it seemed silly to dwell on this random fact when she had a book to continue reading. She really hoped this practice ended soon.

You could imagine the shock Lynn felt when she looked to the bleachers and found Marley Sterling sat with a book in her hands. It caught her off gaurd. Nobody besides her family had ever stayed to watch a practice or go to a game. Maybe it's because Lynn's never made friends outside of sports, however, she still didn't think she could consider her and Marley friends.

It was a nice gesture, Lynn couldn't deny it, the thought stayed in the back of her head throughout the rest of the practice.

She would look up occasionally during breaks to catch Marley's gaze. Viridescent meeting a soft shade of amber. Once, Lynn dribbled the ball down the field, creating the perfect opportunity to make a goal. Unfortunately, she looked up just when Marley did.

"You alright, Loud?" Her coach called out. Lynn hadn't even realized she had froze. By the time she did, somebody had already stole the ball.

"yeah, just a little lightheaded."
