That when I see it, I'll believe it
Giving me a peace of mind

Lynn sat in her living room several days after her game, for once, doing something unrelated to sports on a weekend. She was listening to the mixtape Marley had made for her, and also—funny enough—reading a book Marley had leant her—The first Percy Jackson book. While Lynn's never really enjoyed reading, or had a strong taste for greek mythology, she took note of how Marley's face lit up talking about her favorite book series. So, when she offered to lend the books, Lynn couldn't say no.

Lynn would be a liar if she said she wasn't enjoying the book, Marley had good taste, that much was evident. Lynn's reading time was cut short when she heard a knock at the door.

Speaking of Marley, there she was.

Lynn couldn't deny the fact that Marley looked good; she had a multi-colored striped top with overalls over, a brown leather jacket, and her hair in two low pigtails. Lynn liked it when Marley wore outfits like this, she kind of looked like the hungry caterpillar.

"Hi, Lynn." Marley smiled.

"Hi, Marley." Lynn stood still at the door, quiet until Luna came down and approached the door as well.

"Hi, Luna." Luna greeted the girl in stripes, the interaction felt terribly awkward with Lynn still at the door, to make matters worse, Lynn greeted Luna in an incoherent murmur, Luna said hello back.

And then, one by one, Luna's band mates came down the stairs to the door. It was a mess of hi's and hello's from Lynn, Marley, and the band.

After too many moments too long, Luna invited Marley in, Lynn was still stood with the band by the doors entrance.

"Bye, Marley."

"Bye, Lynn"

Lynn ran to her room, quickly grabbing her book and cd before bolting. She decided it would be safest to hide out in there while Marley was still in her house, if something like that happened again, Luna would make fun of her relentlessly for weeks.

Call her a coward, Lynn wanted to talk to Marley, she really did, until Luna and her band showed up. Lynn understood Marley and Luna had been friends before Lynn was friends with her, but it didn't feel the same. They were really only associated music wise, they didn't hang out leisurely, It was just a band thing.

And, frankly, Lynn didn't want to hang out with Luna's band, call her selfish, but Lynn wanted to hang out with Marley alone, not with a bunch of Luna's friends.
