[Name] let out a long yawn, groggily rubbing one eye as they slowly sat up in bed. The soft morning light filtered through the window, signaling the start of a new day. They stretched their arms above their head, feeling their bones crack in a satisfying way. "Fuck..." they muttered under their breath, their voice thick with sleep. Yesterday had been quite the rollercoaster, especially after visiting Junpei. They still couldn't wrap their head around the crazy stuff they had learned.

Some emo-looking curse had shown up, and apparently, this curse had the ability to grant Junpei curse energy. Honestly, that seemed impossible—something completely unheard of. But now, they had to bring it up with Gojo. If anyone could figure this mess out, it was their goofy but insanely powerful sensei. That is, if they could actually find him. Gojo had been disappearing a lot more often lately, probably because the elders kept sending him out on high-level missions. Being the "strongest sorcerer" must come with its own set of problems.

A buzzing noise from their nightstand pulled them out of their thoughts. They turned to see their phone vibrating loudly against the wood, the screen lighting up with a new notification. Raising an eyebrow, they reached for the device, pulling it off the charger. They pressed the power button, only to be temporarily blinded by the screen's brightness. "Ugh," they groaned, squinting and closing their eyes as tears welled up in the corners. The light was way too much for this early in the morning.

Taking a deep breath, they blinked away the last of the tears and looked down at their phone again. The notification was from Kugisaki. A small smile tugged at the corners of their mouth as their thumb instinctively swiped across the screen, unlocking the phone with face ID. Whatever Kugisaki had to say was bound to be interesting—especially this early in the day.

[Name] beamed, setting their phone back down on the nightstand before getting up from the bed. A soft hum escaped their lips as they started to get ready for the day, their current favorite song running through their head. They had to talk to him about the curse that seemed to be stalking Junpei.

With a deep breath, [Name] made sure everything in their room was in order, gave themselves one last look in the mirror, and then headed to the door. Their feet slipped into some comfy slippers as they quietly stepped out, pulling the door shut behind them. Man, I'm tired, they thought with a groan, their body still adjusting to being awake.

As they walked down the hall toward the kitchen, [Name]'s mind drifted into its usual checklist mode. Okay, talk to Gojo about the curse, check on Junpei, eat something... maybe see what everyone else is up to after that, they mused to themselves. Keeping a mental checklist helped them stay on track, especially on days like this where it seemed like everything needed to be handled at once.

Before they knew it, [Name] found themselves standing in front of the canteen door. Their hand rested on the doorknob, gripping it for just a moment as they paused. From behind the door, they could already hear Kugisaki's voice rising in her usual tone. They exhaled, already anticipating how this day might go. It's going to be a long day, they thought with a small smile as they pushed the door open to meet their friends. They wouldn't have it any other way.

Kugisaki shoved her phone into Fushiguro's face with a look of pure exasperation. "Obviously this top is cuter!"

Fushiguro leaned back slightly, disinterested and completely nonbothered by her frustration. "Sure," he mumbled, his tone completely nonchalant, like he wasn't even paying attention.
