Ayesha's POV

My eyes opened, and I sat up, I had a very stressed sleep, I was not at peace at all. The first thing I did after waking up was to check my phone, but much to my disappointment there was no response from Athar.

He is just not answering my calls or replying to my messages, I don't know how I should convince him now, he has all the right to be upset with me.

I got off the bed, and turned around to fold the blankets, when my eyes fell on Reem, she was staring outside the window. She looked upset, I have not been talking with her since yesterday, because of what she did, but now I feel bad.

I sighed and went to her.

"Reem" I said, she turned to look at me, but then she turned her face away again. It showed that she was upset.

"Yaar just let it go now, I was upset when I found out that Athar got to know about my decision, but I didn't mean to be rude to you, I know you were just trying to help, I'm sorry, please forgive me" I said, she just gave me a small smile.

"Reem, let it go. Please" I said

"It's fine Ayesha, I am not upset with you" she said and I was surprised.

"You aren't? But I was quite rude to you yesterday" I said. She just shrugged and her casualness got me worried. Something is not right.

"What's the matter Reem?" I asked. "Something is bothering you"

"I was talking with Izhaan, and mum....." She couldn't complete her sentence because of the knock on the door.

I turned around and went ahead, I opened the door and found mummy standing there, I smiled at her.

"Assalamualaikum" I said.

"Walekum assalam" she said and came into the room.

"Are you free? Can I talk to you for a while?" Mummy asked

"I am going to take a bath" Reem said and went towards the closet.

I looked at her keenly, she was looking really upset, what could be bothering her. She was telling me something about a phone call with Izhaan, maybe she had a fight with him.

"Ayesha beta" mummy put her hand on mine

"Let's sit and talk" I said down on the small couch in our room, "what happened?" I asked looking at her serious face.

"I want to talk about Athar with you" she said and I started to get worried. What is it now!

"Ok" I nodded

"He is a lovely boy, I loved him for you, the way he spoke with everyone yesterday showed his niceness, I am so proud of your choice" she said and I felt weight lifted off my chest.

I was so upset yesterday about Athar being angry with me that I didn't notice anything else, Hamna was here and her family too, everyone was celebrating, but my mind was stuck at Athar.

"Thank you mummy" I held her hands, my eyes watered.

"And I am sorry for forcing you to marry Musa" she said, I shook my head.

"It's fine, don't bother" I said.

"No beta, I made a mistake, I took the love of my brother as a favour, and I thought I will be able to repay him like this, and I anyway loved Musa for you, and I thought in this way you will be live with us, I was so happy with everything that I didn't listen to you" she said feeling sad.

"It's ok mummy, now it's all over" I said.

"No, let me say it beta" she insisted, "all my life I have always supported you because I was so sure that my daughter can never make any wrong decision, but when you needed me the most, I turned my back." A tear escaped her eyes, I was really not liking it but I stayed quiet.
