Athar's POV

Even though Izhaan and I were away from the office, still work was not being neglected by any of us, like right now we were in an online meeting.

I was noticing Izhaan, he looked upset, I didn't understand why. And the network at his end was so poor that he got disconnected twice already.

After the meeting finished, everyone left the meeting, it was just me and Izhaan in the end.

"You ok?" I asked

"Just sleepy" he yawned

I looked at the time, when the meeting started it was 9 o'clock and it lasted for two hours, 9 o'clock in India means 5:30 am in Switzerland.

"You go to sleep for a while now" I said.

"Actually Athar there is something I want you to do for me" he said.

"Tell me"

"Something is wrong with Reem, she is not answering my calls, I called her so many times" he said worriedly

"Maybe she's busy with the engagement preparation" I said feeling excited, Ayesha will soon become mine officially.

"No yaar, there's something else. Last night I spoke with her, she was talking all rubbish like stop calling me and other things like that" he said

"Must be one of her other tantrums" I rolled my eyes "you spoil her too much"

"I don't mind when she throws tantrums, I happily do what she wants, but she has never been rude to me, and I don't understand why, I tried calling Ayesha also, but she is not answering too, can you please help me in finding out what's the matter" he said.

"Sure buddy, don't worry. I will find out and let you know, but I'm sure it's nothing big, your drama queen must be demanding some attention" I said

"I love my drama queen, and I will happily give her all of my attention, all my life" he chuckled

"When are you returning Izhaan? I thought you said you'll come early" I said.

"I badly want to come yaar, but flights are closed here, I can't do anything" he sighed.

"You'll miss my engagement" I said looking at his image on the laptop screen

"I'm helpless, I wish I had not come here" he said

"I wish that too. Anyway how's Hannan's work going?" I asked, but he didn't respond

"Izhaan" I said, but his picture froze, "oh hello dude" I waved my hand, then he was disconnected. I sighed

I hope he returns soon, I can't take this bad network anymore.

I was waiting for him to join back, when I received a message from him on my phone. He was telling me that it was not joining now. I sighed and put my laptop on standby

I picked up a cup of coffee and took a sip. I was having the strong urge to smoke, but I was trying to control myself.

I thought of calling Ayesha, so I picked up my phone and dialled her number, it was ringing, but she didn't answer, I tried three more times but no response, strange.

I called Reem also, but even she didn't answer. I shrugged and thought of trying later.

After putting my phone aside, I got back to my laptop, I was checking the e-mail Uday sent me, just then my phone started ringing, I assumed it was Ayesha's call so I answered it without checking.

"What is this baby, you got so busy in the engagement preparation that you have forgotten your handsome to be fiance" I said.

"Awww baby! I'm so sorry for neglecting my handsome man" a manly voice said from the other end, i got confused, I removed the phone from my ear and shook my head when I saw who it was.
