"5 more minutes..." Minji groggily groaned as she smacked the alarm clock.
Waking up is hard after a hangover, after all. Your head aches, your tummy aches, you feel nauseated, you can't stand up, and many more. Nevertheless, she strengthened herself and sat down, rubbing her eyes after the not-so-good night's sleep.
She stood up, trying to maintain balance. Her memories from last night were hazy, except her remembering that she chugged a whole bottle of beer. Now she's probably found out the reason why no boys tried hitting her up, maybe it was because she was drunk from the start.
She walked out of her room and saw Hanni sitting on the couch reading a magazine.
"Hey, sleepyhead, you had a nice night, huh? Anyways, I already made us breakfast.I already made breakfast for you." Hanni said as she flipped to the next page of the book.
"Oh, yeah, okay. Thanks." Minji said as she got a big glass of water and gulped it all up. After that, she started eating breakfast. She looked back at her roommate and something about Hanni felt iffy.
Something about Hanni just emanated bright energy. Something about her just felt different. It was as if something spiritual happened to her. Or maybe it was just that she was too drunk to even look at her best friend with clear and sober eyes.
After eating the scrumptious meal Hanni made for her, Minji went to the couch and looked straight at Hanni.
Hanni stared back, curious to what her friend had to say.
1 second has passed...
2 seconds have passed...
3 seconds have passed...
4 seconds have passed...
5 seconds have passed...
6 seconds have passed...
7 seconds have passed...
8 seconds have passed...
9 seconds have passed... and still gruesome silence, "Uh, why are you staring at me like that?" Hanni said, breaking the awkward silence her still hungover friend had set up.
"You look different today, something happened last night! Don't deny it. I remember you talking to a guy last night. Wait, how did we even get back here?!" Minji said as she started overthinking. Has her bestie done it?!?!?!
"Hey! Stop with your dirty thoughts! Yes, there was a boy here last night. We were chatting and your drunk face butted in. He was nice enough to drive the both of us home. I invited him over and we drank the vodka bottle I sneaked out of the party. He was nice." Hanni said as she chuckled and explained the situation to Minji.
