22. Haldi

Today was Priyanshi's haldi ceremony, she was prepared very well today too, today she wore a simple white lehenga choli and floral jewellery.

Priyanshi is taken to the garden for haldi, there two tents were tied with white cloth, one for Priyanshi and the other for Shaurya, she was taken to her tent and they sited her inside a big golden tabe, Priyanshi also sits there quietly.

The ritual of haldi is first performed for the groom and then for the bride. Haldi had not yet come for Priyanshi. So Sumati ji said, "Hasn't the haldi come yet?" "No, Rani Maa" Madhusmita said expressing her worry, "so, then complete the rituals before that, by then the haldi will also come." "Yes, Rani Maa" everyone said agreeing with Sumati ji and started completing other rituals.

After some time, Anamika brings a turmeric paste. According to the tradition, the turmeric paste used for the groom is applied to the bride. Meera mixes the turmeric paste brought by Anamika with the turmeric paste prepared for Priyanshi. Then the turmeric ceremony begins.

First of all, Sumati ji started the process of applying turmeric by applying it on Priyanshi. She applied it on her cheeks, hands and feet. That turmeric has a very nice fragrance because along with turmeric, sandalwood, rose water and other auspicious ingredients are mixed in it.

After Sumati ji applies turmeric, one by one everyone starts applying turmeric to Priyanshi. Priyanshi is just passing a small smile to everyone. After the ritual of applying turmeric is over, the ritual is completed by pouring turmeric mixed water with rose petals over her. Water is poured again and again and she is bathed well with it. Then she is made to wear a beautiful yellow colored saree.

After the haldi ceremony is over, Priyanshi leaves to go to her room Because it was very cold outside and due to bathing outside, she was feeling very cold but after taking a few steps, someone calls her from behind

"Priyanshi ji" Hearing the voice, Priyanshi's face turns pale. She knew that voice very well. She turns back with anger and hatred in her eyes. "Ab aapko kya chahiye Rajkumar saroon?" (What do you want now, Prince Saroon?)

Saroon also came for Shaurya's haldi ceremony, he had to come, it was the royal rule that all the royal families had to come, he was also forced to come by the rules, regret was clearly visible in his eyes, he says to Priyanshi with a sad smile, "ek baar hame kuchh kahane ka mauka dijiye" (Give me a chance to say something once)

"ab kahane ko bacha kya hai, us din aapne mujhe sab kuchh kahe diya,....ek baat bataiye, mainne aapka kya bigaada tha?" (What is left to say now, you have told me everything that day, tell me one thing, what wrong did I even know do to you) Priyanshi said angrily hiding her tears.

She thought Saroon was a good man and that was her mistake and he broke her trust. Now Priyanshi is in trouble and Shaurya is forced to marry her, all this is happening only because of Saroon. Thinking this, Priyanshi clenches her fists in anger and hatred.

"Please listen to me, i know i have committed a huge mistake, please give me a chance to apologize, I'm really sorry" Saroon said pleadingly, Saroon is not bad like his father but he cannot go against his father also, so he keeps quiet and he really is loves Priyanshi.

He doesn't want to hurt her but now Priyanshi is not affected by his words, she irritatedly say him "I don't have time to listen to you. I don't want anyone to misunderstand after seeing us together, that's why go away from my sight"

Priyanshi did not want anyone to think anything wrong about her or see them together but far from her sight, someone was watching them and that person was none other than Shaurya, Shaurya was feeling very jealous seeing his fiancée his priyanshi with Saroon

"I don't want listen to you", saying this Priyanshi takes a step back to leave from there but to stop her, Saroon holds her hand and tries to stop her from leaving, although he had left Priyanshi's hand just when Priyanshi stoped, but seeing that Shaurya cannot control his anger anymore and straight go there.

Priyanshi was about to say something when Shaurya comes there. Seeing him both Priyanshi and Saroon get surprised. Thinking that Shaurya might misunderstand something, Priyanshi quickly starts explaining everything to him "shau_ your highness that_" but before she could finish her words, Shaurya holds her hand and angrily takes her away from there, leaving Saroon alone behind.

He takes Priyanshi to an empty room nearby and locks the door from inside.

After Shaurya closes the door, Priyanshi frightened standing behind him tries to tell the truth to Shaurya "Shaur_ your highness don't misunderstand anything_" She was still speaking when Shaurya suddenly comes close to her due to which Priyanshi is unable to utter any other words.

Shaurya holds Priyanshi's hand tightly by entangling her fingers in his hand and turns her around and pushes her against the door, Priyanshi screams out of fear but then she realises that Shaurya was holding her by the waist and hence she didn't hit the door hard, one of Shaurya's hands was on Priyanshi's hand and the other on her waist.

"W_what are you doing?" Priyanshi said looking into Shaurya's eyes in panic, "What was he saying to you?" He said in a harsh tone, it was clear from his voice that he was angry.

"He just wanted to apologize to me" Priyanshi said in a low voice, hearing her Shaurya takes a sigh of relief and puts his head on Priyanshi's shoulder due to which Priyanshi's Heartbeat started running fast like a bullet train

This...this...this...what...what...what is he doing Shaurya...ah.. my heart is beating so loudly, I hope he is not able to hear it, otherwise what will he think of me...no no control Priyanshi, control yourself, he is not Devdas, nor you Paro, control yourself, maybe, he is tired that's why he is resting...but why on my shoulders, was...Is he feeling jealous, no this can't be possible, you are thinking nonsense right now

Priyanshi was thinking all this when Shaurya regains his senses, his ears turn red on finding himself on Priyanshi's shoulder, he quickly gets himself away from Priyanshi, feeling relieved he has let his gaurd down

Have you gone mad Shaurya? What was I doing? Priyanshi must be feeling uncomfortable because of me. No, I should leave from here right now.

Thinking this Shaurya opens the door and leaves without saying anything leaving Priyanshi there, as soon as he leaves Priyanshi sits down hiding her face with her hand, her whole face had turned red due to shame

After sitting there for some time, Priyanshi comes out of the room taking a deep breath and goes straight to her room.

As soon as she reaches her room, she gets busy with her wedding clothes, jewellery and other things as only one day is left for her wedding, she gets so busy that she forgets everything that happened a while ago...

The next day also went by very busy too for them. The entire palace was being decorated like a bride in preparation for the wedding. Shaurya and Priyanshi both got busy in their preparations. The whole day was spent in completing the remaining rituals and the next day also came like this, the day of their wedding.
