23. Wedding

After all, that day has come. My wedding day

A lots of things had happened in my life in the meantime, I got betrayed, got heartbroken, even travel back in time

But more than that, I finally made a true friend, I have people around me who truly loves and adore me, like everything is going great in my life right

It would be a big lie if i said that Everyone's wedding day is very special for them right. I too had the same thought since childhood too, but it seems that what we wish for cannot always happen. my marriage with shaurya was like that a relationship built with compulsion

Look like I'm thinking too much, I should just focus on today and hope whatever happens today is for good. Everything gonna be fine right?

Priyanshi was lying awake on her bed lost in her thoughts, today was a very big day for her, not because it was special for her but because it was a big milestone in her life. She had to take a long road from now on.

Finally she falls asleep while tossing and turning on the bed and in the blink of an eye it's morning again and sun started rising up in the sky

It was afternoon, but Priyanshi was still sleeping on the bed, she suddenly felt as if her mother was caressing her head, as soon as she felt this, Priyanshi put her head in her lap in her halfsleep and held her tightly, "maa, aap aa gai ?" (Maa, have you come?) she said in her sleep.

"Yes, i have come" says maasi maa i.e. Sumati ji. Hearing her voice Priyanshi sleep's break. She gets up in a hurry and sits up. "Maasi maa you?" Seeing her getting up in a hurry, Sumati ji starts laughing loudly.

"Ha ha ha, you are still a child aren't you, sleep for a little while more, you must be so tired because of tomorrow's wages and there is still so much to do today" said Sumati ji showing her concern

"No, it's alright, I am fine" Priyanshi said shyly in a soft voice. She didn't want her maasi maa to see her sleeping like a child. But somehow Sumati ji understands what is going on in Priyanshi's mind just by looking at her.

She puts her hand on her cheek and says, "Come on then, gets ready now, it's afternoon already." On hearing this, Priyanshi just nods her head. After she does so, Sumati ji gestures maids, who was waiting outside Priyanshi's room, to come inside.

They all come inside only when Sumati ji calls them. They take Priyanshi to the bathroom and after some time Priyanshi comes out after taking a bath and goes and sits in front of the mirror, all the maids together start getting her ready, a lot of time is spent in this, we can also say that it evening now.

After getting ready, Priyanshi looked no less than an angel. She looked at Sumati with her lovely eyes as if she was asking through her eyes that how do i look. Sumati ji who was still sitting in her room. Seeing her beautiful face, she puts a tilak behind her ear with her kajal so that she doesn't affected by evil eye.

Just then Meera comes there, she doesn't come inside the room, she just says from outside "Maharani, Pandit ji is calling you downstairs" Everybody was standing surrounding Priyanshi, so Meera didn't see Priyanshi's face, but on hearing her voice everybody moves aside, as soon as Meera's eyes fall on Priyanshi, she can't take her eyes off her.

"Okay, we are coming" Priyanshi says with a light smile but Meera is just staring at her, impressed by her beauty Meera's attention only distract when Priyanshi covers her face with a veil

After taking the veil, they all take Priyanshi down to the mandap. Meera also goes with them but Sumati ji does not go with them because someone had to stop so that she can welcome the bride.

As the dawn broke, the sun painted the sky with hues of orange and pink, casting a magical glow over the royal palace. The maids, adorned in splendid silk sarees and sparkling jewelry, whisked the priyanshi away towards her wedding mandap, a beautifully crafted altar situated in the middle of a tranquil pond. The water shimmered like liquid silver, surrounded by blooming lotus flowers, their delicate petals open wide in the gentle morning light.
